It's because almost all Sri Lanka airlines pilots are Ex-Sri Lanka Airforce pilots. They have loads of expensive due to the spent flight hours during the war.

Heathrow to Columbo on Sri Lankan airlines was one of the best flights I ever had, Food was amazing for economy
Something I would love to see is a Brutally Honest for airports in general. See how certain airports stack up against others in terms of design, security, lounges, etc.
Especially for hubs
Colombo airport became a security pain after terrorist attacks took out of chunk of the airport and part of the fleet during the civil war. It’s much better now though, I find the entry times annoying though- you’re stuck in a confined waiting area until checkin begins only then are you allowed to enter in.

Wow, the 321neo is a massive upgrade over the 320 that I flew from Bahrain to Colombo. It’s closer to the 330 that is used for the Colombo-Sydney service

I've flown 2 sectors on UL'S A321neos, both of them were fantastic
They also have a pretty decent Business Class product as well (just a little suggestion for any upcoming vids)
UL have had some good deals in business between the middle east and Jakarta in the last few years. I flew twice with them between DXB/AUH and CGK (via CMB) chasing OW status in early '19.
The only minor downside was the seat on the A332 for a couple of legs (which were only 4 hrs, so not too bad). Otherwise, the food and service (and tea) were as good as anything around - but with a Sri Lankan twist. If the deals pop up again, I'll do it again in a blink. The only issue now is that I think that there could be a limit on stopovers in Colombo, because I'd love to see some of the country!
I have to say that sri lankan airlines landings are one of the best very smooth landings. Its the best airlines in south asia

It's not a surprise. Sri Lanka's second official language is Tamil, so it's compulsory to use both languages in government institutes. Sri Lankan Airlines is a semi government company.
better to travel with them in business class as i know thier tickets are not that expensive.
