David Paulsen was the showrunner for the final season They got rid of the Pollocks as lead writers and producer Elaine Rich. Unfortunately, they were brought back for the reunion, that's why that was such a mess I read all of this on a blog for the major soaps a few years ago. It also covered Dallas and Knots Landing where David Paulsen produced on those shows as well It's a pity that David Paulsen wasn't brought in sooner and they should have hired Peter Dunne too But the new network head of ABC wanted to kill Dynasty off and moved its night time slot The three cliffhangers in the final episode were brilliant too
@@DaveyC95 ... Yes, they wisely tried to get Paulsen for Season 6, but unwisely denied his request for creative carte blanche, so he went off to do KNOTS for a year, then went back to DALLAS for two. By the time DYNASTY got Paulsen in 1988 for Season 9, the audience was already gone.
I hope those cops can get Phoenix to 🤐. IMO, she should be arrested for attitude alone.
