  • Deep in the Aldo Leopold Wilderness of New Mexico, in a remote canyon in the Black Range, there is a sacred place covered in ancient pictographs. We bushwhack our way through willows and catclaw to find it…
The amazing paintings we found appear similar to other pictographs in the Black Range and Mimbres Valley, which we've been told are Apache. If you know more about this rock art, please comment!
I may have lingered on the scenery a little too long in this video, but I really wanted to capture the peacefulness and serenity of this sacred place. I live for this, and I love to watch these videos when life overwhelms and I can't get out to the wilderness. I hope you enjoy. Please like, subscribe, and share!

Hi guys, I’m a friend of Greg’s, who forwarded this video to me. I live in Silver and have been exploring the Black Range on the west slope below Emory pass. One of my many new favorite places.

We spend a lot of time over on that side of Emory! We did a big loop hike a last week up Gallinas, across the crest, then down RR. We'll have a video of that hike soon.
