"oh my mistake” is one of my favorite girl group songs ever. April has a lot of songs you might like, especially "April Story” , "Lalalilala” and "Blue Bird”!
Baek Yerin is an absolute gem. She's been writing her own tracks for years now & also fronts an incredible rock band called The Volunteers ("Summer" is an exquisite track of theirs). If you get a chance, do check them out. It's very reminiscent of the 90's Brit-indie bands I loved, like LUSH or even a bit of the Cocteau Twins. So glad you reacted to her on your channel!
If you do a marathon for Yukika, I’m gonna need you to brace yourself for some retro music and I know you’re bored of it and all BUT she mainly focuses on citypop and I like to believe she caused a wave of citypop b-sides in this newer generation of k-pop. Her 1st studio album SOUL LADY is such a career highlight
I'm a fan of yukika's music your reaction was so relatable lfkfkf!! I don't think you're gonna like a lot the rest of her discography because it's really 80's/city pop inspired and we know you're sick of it lol but it's definitely very well produced and done with taste, also I think you're gonna love lalala by bling bling that song is incredible!!
CO-ED SCHOOL!!!! Man! They were my shit (still are), they were under MBK, and after around 3 years disbanded and permamenty split into 2 subunits: SPEED (boys), and F-ve Dolls (girls). I VERY MUCH recommend checking out SPEED - they're known for their extremely cool and creative choreography, for example utilising heelys and making it look effortless (in What U). or embodying a circus concept extremely well with crazy acrobatics (the "Don't Tease Me" dance practice is still their most viewed piece of content). Their music slaps majorly too, which is a shame that they're mostly forgotten by time. They debuted alongside EXO and BAP and had so much potential (I remember watching an early Bangtan Bomb where the boys bopped and hyped SPEED up during Don't Tease Me stage) and MBK disbanded them out of nowhere (it seems to be a very much repeatable story in kpop huh). Honestly their and PRISTIN's disbandments are on my list of the worst kpop crimes. Also I 100% agree that we need more co-ed kpop groups - there was a new group called Checkmate but they disbanded after releases :( It's a shame that there's not many co-ed groups and when there are they disband quickly (with the exception of KARD which thank fuck), because usually their voices match so well and their performances are amazing. If you want to see a cool co-ed duo that included HyunA - Troublemaker is excellent, their song "Now" is such a banger.
pit-a-pet was my number 1 played song for Spotify wrapped 2020 with over 1k streams for a reason, THE BRIDGE??? HELLLO???? ill never get over it. So glad you enjoyed it!! :))
I DEFINITELY AGREE on the fade-out thing. The last kpop song with a fade-out I personally heard was Red Velvet's Hello Sunset & I remember thinking at that time also how RARE it is to hear that in kpop, at least when it comes to the artists I listen to. I also wanna thank the requesters for introducing me to the MUSM, Lee HI ft. Wonstein & Yerin Baek songs. PHENOMENAL & also exactly my style 👌🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💯
Bling Bling makes hits ONLY! Their debut, G.G.B, is based on Brazilian Funk so as La La La, which is pretty unique for K-Pop and sounds amazing! Also, pit-a-pet is actually dedicated for Yukika's dog, isn't it cute? :(
those king cobras knew exactly what they were doing, yerin baek is the PERFECT artist for you! most of her discography is songs in that same style as popo that you’d love, she’ll definitely be one of your favorites if you ever choose to get into her more!
Baek Yerin is one of Korea's most talented and beloved singers/songwriters. She started out in JYP in a duo with Jamie Park as 15&, and then she released her first EP, "Frank," at age 19 and she composed all the songs. She's since had all-kills for every single one of her releases on the charts. She's one of my ultimate favorites and there's no one else with a voice and musical sensibility like hers. Definitely check out "Across the Universe," her first single, which is one of my all-time favorite songs of all-time. "Maybe It's Not Our Fault" is the next single and it's beautiful. And definitely check out "Square," a song she almost didn't release because she didn't feel it was good enough, yet after all the begging from fans, she finally did, and it's a wonderful song.
Sooooo happy to see you chek out Bling Bling, ISTG it's criminal how underrated they are!! Other than those 2 songs, they also have 1 other single album, and I can highly recommend checking this one out as well! The bside on this single album is probably THE most unique song I heard in Kpop and this song is what made me REALLY fall in love with this group! They also have an amazing performacne video for this bside, so I would strongly recommend this!
soul lady by yukika is one of the best albums ever made it's so tastyyyy, she's city pop queen and already one of my favorite soloists ever and yerin baek discography is so amazing I love her so much, another fact about her is she was in jyp girl's duo group called 15& with jimin park (now jamie) both with powerful voices and great songs, I'd love to see you react to jamie ♡ and it's so sad april disbanded they have such good music I recommend lalalalilala to react next
YAY! i’m not a king cobra but ive been really wanting you to check out yerin baek and yukika, adore them both so much! also oh! my mistake is a CLASSIC girl group song it’s amazing, so glad these got recommended to you
LOVEDDDD Bbiribbom Bbaeribom since it first came out!!! So happy you reacted to it!! Fun fact: the girl on the poster and later came out from the wall is Eunjung from T-ara :D
Thank you for reacting to April 🤗 their early stuff are criminally underrated gems that sound like vintage gfriend (Blue Bird, April Story). My Mistake is when they were starting to become more electropop like you said. Their next song and last song was Lalalilala 😥💖
One of Joy's absolute favorite artist is Baek Yerin she even mentioned last time she hopes to make great music like Yerin's!!! CAN'T WAIT FOR YOU TO CHECK OUT MORE HER SOLO AND BAND STUFF 🥺
Baek Yerin is really one of my absolute favorite solo singer!!! Her songs are awesome and meaningful since she wrote all of it😍 a few of my favorites are As I Am, Across the Universe and Square. You should check it out!!!
I was and still is a huge fan of APRIL. They’ve officially disbanded months ago because an old member brought up some bullying allegations regarding 4/6 of the current APRIL members which to this day is still unsolved on who’s really telling the truth. On another note, I’ve recently fell in love with Yukika alongside Choi Heart. They both make amazing City Pop songs which I’ve been listening to *at night* whenever I’m studying/doing school work, it just takes me to a different place
Yerin Baek is my favourite artist ever. Most of her songs are in english now, but she is such an amazing voice. Plus, if you see her perform live, she has this cute bubbly energy that just makes you want to dance and sing. As soon as I heard her songs, I fell in love. My favourite song of hers is either Square or 0310. But there are SO many other gems, such as Across the Universe, Bunny, See You Again, Our Love Is Great, Bye Bye My Blue, Hate You, Lovegame, True Lover, and 0415. She is also in this indie punk rock band called The Volunteers! They just released their first full album last year, so I would definitely give it a listen! My favourites from their discography are Violet and Radio, although Crap and Pink Top are amazing as well. Make sure to support her new single, Pisces! It comes out in a few days!
Baek Yerin is one of my absolute favorite soloists! Her discog is 👌 my favorite albums are Every letter I sent you and tellusaboutyourself. Lee Hi also has great music ❤️

Yerin Baek is my all time favourite "chill" Korean artist. Her music is so different, I don't know anyone else putting out music like her! Her "Our Love is Great" album is INCREDIBLE. I remember having it on repeat with no skips for months when it released, still go back to it now. The whole album is impeccable but my absolute favourite was See You Again!
Yerin’s kinda insane… constantly using excellent jazz features. Apart from crafting her music so well she also talks about alcohol and getting high so it’s quite refreshing compared to a lot of other k-indie artists. Would recommend a deep dive, but if not ‘maybe it’s not our fault’ and ‘I am not your ocean anymore’ as they’re a little tewww good
FYI, The entire Soul Lady album from Yukika was composed/arranged/produced by the folks at MonoTree, and they did most of Loona's songs up until Jaden Jeong left. Soul Lady is one of the masterpieces of City Pop/K-pop, and one of the finest albums ever made. It is a rare modern concept album with a narrative, voice-acting, sound effects, as if you are experiencing a story.
A lot of Yukika's songs in her Soul Lady album were written by MonoTree, the same dudes who wrote almost every LOONA's pre-debut songs, so that's why Soul Lady is such a great album and why everybody wants you to react to. You will love the city pop influence.
oh my god u are gonna LOVEEE yukika… controversial opinion but she was the only true main slayer of the retro trend in 2020 with the soul lady album, i’ve listened to it so many times but never once have i gotten sick of it!!! looking forward to more hehe
Co-ed school is 2nd gen they're T-ara Junior in the same company. The fact that choi sungmin co-ed school are Yena's (Iz*one) big brother, Yukika just heavy carry citypop in korean industry Great explore Episode !
from previous videos, I know you'll loooove yukika! Like you said you're a fan of jazz funk from the 70s/80s and Yukikas music is based around that kind of music and it's similar to Twice's Say Something. City Pop!!!!
Please do a BVNDIT marathon when they come back (they're coming back in May after 2 years of hiatus). They're a girl group under MNH entertainment (same label as Chungha) and unfortunately they're very underrated despite them being so talented 😔💔
One of my favourites is here 😃 Yerin Baek! One half of the duo 15&. The other half is Jamie Park Jimin. Both going solo, went on producing awesome songs.. ❤️❤️❤️
you need to react to laboum !! A very underrated 3rd gen gg. I recommend journey to atlantis, between us, turn it on & hwi hwi ! They are still active as a 4 member group (they debuted with 6 in 2014) journey to atlantis is a song that charts every spring in korea ! But they never got the real love they deserve
Just like another comment mentioned, Co-ed School was pretty short-lived after one of the guys got into a controversy i think. Also tbh, there's a reason why co-ed kpop groups aren't common because well, yknow how sensitive the fans can be lol. They split into their girl & guy groups respectively after (F-ve Dolls/5Dolls & SPEED) - they have really great songs too, it's such a shame they were so underrated. They were from MBK btw which was the same agency as T-ara's. The girl that was on the poster in the mv is a T-ara member too! She also had a cameo towards the end. Fun fact: Zico's brother & IZONE Yena's brother was in this group
What happened to coed school? They were pretty short lived. They released 2 singles and 1 album. They were split off into girl group/boy group subunits called F-ve Dolls and Speed and never reformed into Coed School again. The channel Ploopy678 did a deep dive into two of the members in her 'unluckiest idols' series: chanmi and taewoon. I'd suggest checking the videos out as they're really interesting I loved bbiribbom bberibbom when it came out haha. I too miss goofy kpop :p I don't know if you noticed, but it samples Lady Gaga (ft. Beyoncé)'s Telephone. Kinda cool 😎

Yerin baek discography 10/10 trust me.
I love Yerin Baek! Omg! This made me so happy! This album is amazing! I have a playlist dedicated to her and stella jang!
Adding Stella Jang to this listen through would have been a perfect trifecta alongside Yerin Baek and Yukika.

We need justice for Huh Chanmi! Every time she's about to succeed...she doesn't. 😭 Her last solos were so good but haven't gotten any love.
OMG CO-ED SCHOOL YASSS. Also, they were from mbk ent so they always give us those type of kpop bops

Co-Ed school debuted back in 2010 with the song Too Late
The group was very underrated and later in 2012 they decided to promote in sub units
The female sub unit was called 5dollz and the male sub unit was called Speed
In 2013 Co-Ed school disbanded and the sub units become permanent
Fun fact
The leader of I believe both Speed and Co-Ed school was Taewoon who is actually the older brother of Korean rapper and Block B member Zico however Taewoon has spent his whole career in his little brothers shadow and its disgusting how much hate that man has been through from other artists and survival shows using him as comedic relief when in reality he's a very talented producer, song writer and artist but for years now everyone just refers to his as zicos bro or the new guy

I'd suggest checking the videos out as they're really interesting
I loved bbiribbom bberibbom when it came out haha. I too miss goofy kpop :p
I don't know if you noticed, but it samples Lady Gaga (ft. Beyoncé)'s Telephone. Kinda cool 😎
