I saw your video a few months ago, and I think that just as you contributed to me, I should do it here. I passed the exam on Friday, I have 12 years of experience in networks and technology in general, and I must tell you that it took me about 6 months. It is hard but if you focus on the topics that you should learn in depth you can achieve it. Focus on architecture scenarios and one more thing, Tutorialdojo is excellent but for this exam at least in Nov 2022, their practice exams are outdated, the exam was renewed in June 2022 and tutorialdojo kept the old version, I highly recommend the one from Whizlabs , much closer to the actual exam.
Additionally, if you are not a native speaker in English, it is more difficult, they are very long questions that require significant reading comprehension, so it is harder for us.
Congratulations Trevor! 🎉🎊
Big fan!
Thank you for your advice ☺️
Thank you very much for the advise & guideline. I was looking for some guidance and you Sir, answered my prayer - I will keep you posted on the progress. Thank you.
Hi Trevor, thank you for the amazing insight. i plan getting this cert as my main goal. what is the best roadmap of cert to get the AWS Advanced Networking. thank you.
This one was a doozy, I failed it the first time, and although I passed it on the second go round, I didn't leave the testing center "definitely" knowing I did. Even with being in the networking/security arena for a little over 10 years, there's still much to learn about the subtle nuances about the cloud. I've enjoyed my pivot to the cloud and definitely encourage everyone to keep pushing regardless of where you're at. Great content and presentation, and new to the channel.
How do you think this cert is for someone working in an ISP NOC?
Thanks for sharing
Im a ccna certified last April 10,2024. Is it possible for me to get this without the aws cloud practitioner? Ty
Thanks for this great video. Do you recommend andrian or acloudguru for learning this cert? Thx
Thanks for this Trevor. Is there any particular resources you’d recommend to crash course on these networking fundamentals? Cheers
The cantrill networking course goes into the fundamentals which is why I recommend it
Thanks
What about the advanced database exam? Any ideas?
Hey, you said that that course is better than the Udemy one, which Udemy course was?
You said you passed this exam in 3 months time.
How many did you allocate per week/day to prepare for this ?
Hi Trevor, I just got my AWS Solutions architect professional a month ago. I thought it would be easy to get jobs but unfortunately it's starting to look like it's not an entry level job. Please what do you think I should do now. Thanks
Keep looking for jobs - and never limit your job search options based on a specific cert or career path
Hey Trevor, Thank you for the content, loved it, I have moderate cloud and basic networking skills, and I'm up for the challenge though if you have any additional(latest) recommended resource let me know. I'll let you know what happen after 6months ; )
Thank you Trevor. I have aws solutions architect certification which was completed 1 year back. I have 14 years experience in ITsupport which includes 7 years experience in networking/Datacenter & last 2 years in aws support. Please suggest if i should go for Aws Solution architect Professional exam or Aws Networking speciality exam. Which will be easy to crack, Bit confused on this.
If you're looking for easy, neither of those exams are it!! lol
I'm studying for the SA pro right now. I think its the most respected AWS cert generally for people who want to become SA's and cloud engineers/architects.
But if you like networking and want to learn more about that, go for the networking cert!
Hope this helps. Given your background, I think the best thing you can do is just focus on the exam/tech you find most interesting.
I've 6+ years of networking experience(CCNA+CCNP qualified) with no knowledge of AWS/Azue. But I'm confused about this and AWS Solution Architect exam. Which one would you recommend as my current role still revolves around Core networking but my organization is looking for AWS and Azure cloud hybrid environment?
Me I would advise you to pass your cloud architect first so you can get a good dive in aws cloud environment then you can take the Advanced networking since you have experience and skills in networking.
AWS Solution Architect exam
I just got a position as a cloud (AWS) networking operations engineer. My first IT role. If you're starting out, my advice is to study the basics of AWS networking and quickly move onto learning about NGFW.
WOW!!! This was your very first role in IT??
Would you be willing to connect 1:1 sometimes toon to discuss your journey?
The most common question I get is 'how do I get a job without prior experience' - So I think people like you who just landed their first job would have the best perspective on that question.
@@trevspires yea I'm happy to!
@@Illum.eGPandEnglish can you ping me on LinkedIn? We can coordinate a time and set something up.
your 1st one? wow
can you explain how to get there?
@@trevspires sure I just did!
So for a network engineer this is a good exam to take. Perfect.
basically, yes - if you're a NE and you want to dive head-first into cloud networking... this is THE place to start :)
Hello, what is the book you're recommending for Advanced Networking?
Hi, is there a book I can buy that incorporates all the four domains of SAA C03. Reply much appreciated.
Hi Trevor, fresh Comp sci graduate with no professional experience, currently doing AWS cloud practitioner and Solutions Architect. Please what jobs should i do leading up to becoming a Cloud Engineer? customer service? IT helpdesk support? junior network admin?? Thank you
Whatever job you can get - ANY tech or IT job you should probably take right now.
We can'y be particularly choosy for our first couple of gigs.
@@trevspires Thank you 😀
Would you say it's comparable to ccnp or ccie?
CCNP - def not close to CCIE difficulty
Does andrew cantril provide pdf slides with course?
He provides some collateral to download as files, not slides when I took his class - hopefully that changes… navigation of the files he provides is not very simple
bro really nice content
can you make a video of road map to cyber securitiy for different paths and the most imp. exam that we should take
I really want to make more career content like this, yes!
Any specific questions or areas you'd like me to cover in a short video?
@@trevspires i am keen towards ethical hacking can you tell the road map , certifications and recomend courses for each stage in order to become a good ethical hacker from scratch
@@trevspires can you describe about ptp and ntp in one video a bit long and crystal clear
3 months is but long time to spend on this despite you have good network background ? How many hours you were saturating on daily average ? How this can be faster ? Are there a lot of questions about BGP? Would they ask us to subnetting if ips ?
I was putting in ~60-90 mins 4-5 days per week. So you can possibly cut it down by studying more, or on the weekend.
Also yes - BGP, Subnetting, Routing, NAT, LBs, Firewalls, etc. - all of that is within scope of the exam and common to see questions for.
Thanks ; and what’s your learning style ? Do you just listen to the context at 1x speed and then pause take notes ..I’m trying to learn new way of learning as taking notes and replaying video multiple times to understand the context taking a lot of time . So actually to understand new concepts which not familiar with .. let’s say content is 10 minutes ; actually study times around 30 to 50 minutes .. what do you recommend
@@tariqalkhaldi435 - I made a video explaining my study system. You can catch that below.
I watch videos for a given course at 1.5-2x speed, use study guides, then use a combo of Video/Study Guides and Practice Tests to give me over the finish line.
For example - many Udemy courses come with a companion slide deck. That is what i'm referring to when I say "Study Guide"
