- The JCCH 2022 Sharing the Spirit of Aloha gala event was held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 in Honolulu, HI. We celebrated the legacies of four outstanding honorees for their contributions to the community and State of Hawai‘i. Meet one of our honorees:
Jane Yonamine was from Kamuela on Hawaiʻi Island, but at 11 years old her family moved to Kalihi on the island of Oʻahu. At 19, she met her future husband Wally Yonamine. After their wedding, they moved to Japan. Jane immersed herself in the culture and found a love for pearl jewelry that soon turned into a thriving business in Tokyo, Japan known as Jane's Pearls.
