NHC June 2024 Lunch & Learn - Clean Energy Finance & Affordable Housing in Nevada

This month we discussed clean energy finance and affordable housing in Nevada including accessing federal funds and reducing utility costs.
We heard from:
* Kirsten Stasio, CEO of the Nevada Clean Energy Fund (NCEF), who discussed their recent $156 million federal Solar for All award, including plans to provide rebates and accessible financing for solar projects on single-family and multi-family affordable housing.
* Esther Toperovsky, Executive Director of Community Sustainability Partners, who shared about her organization’s work helping affordable housing developers integrate clean energy financing into their projects and leverage federal funds, including clean energy tax credits.
* Frank DeCarlo, Director of Project Development at Marvel Way, who spoke about the Marvel Way II project including the challenges and opportunities of its all-electric design and their successful application to the solar tax credit bonus.
