Yea usually radar launch monitors read slightly slower club speeds than camera monitors due to when they read club speed during the swing. But one thing that’s constant between the two devices is ball speed, so that’s nice :)
I’m glad to hear it, that’s very cool you’re going to start! What’s great about speed training is any level of golfer can do it, and it will help. Set small goals, it’s very much the definition of getting 1% better each day and it adds up overtime. Slow and steady keeps ya healthy and wins the race
It’s been fun to look back and document the journey. Learned a lot along the way, and am still learning. Hopefully it helps some people in their journey to gain CHS!
So im starting my Amateur season in Long Drive. I couldnt afford the speed sticks yet, but i dohave the Aero Whip, i have their training plan, but the question i have is, at what interval do i train with it? Every other day? I'm at 132 to 135 clubhead speed, but i know i need to get my mechanics down to improve striking and launch, because i feel like I'm swimging like a caveman, so any advice you have I'd love to hear it.
Congrats and welcome to the sport, that’s awesome and exciting! It’s tough to prescribe a training plan, but this is actually why Sam and I built and launched the Speed Toad @thespeedtoad, with it comes a 4 level speed training program. The biggest benefit of the speed toad vs other aids like the aero whip and speed sticks is the speed gains directly translate to your driver, and in it’s training it teaches you to swing your driver with better sequencing and mechanics (since its speed training with your actual driver shaft). Interval wise you’ve got to listen to your body and recover between sessions, but the program we built allows to grow into the training while gradually increasing work load
Great video. I am 63 yrs old and just hit PR of 124 with real driver and ball on course . Goal is 130. I am plus 3 HC and the length courses i get to play in Senior tour its all driver and wedges. Lol.
Thank you for watching! I need to finish this series now that I’m up to 152 mph club speed. That is increíble speed at 63 years old!! That’s as fast as the fastest pga tour guys, keep it up I bet 130 is right around the corner. Check out my favorite speed tool, it could help with those next 5-6 mph, @thespeedtoad
Well done m8 have you check your speed on trackman some times quad can read bit faster m8 still a beast 💪💪
