Man, That is EXACTLY what I been looking for, I ain't got the necessary at the mo but if you can do THAT in one summer, your a genius. Please keep posting your builds.
Hi Jamie, I cut the upper original baffle and installed universal slip-ons on both pipes (the lower pipe is a slip-on in original anyway)...but it was a bit tricky to get the slip-on fixed because you need to lower the radius of it. I did this with three sleeves (compressed with some exhaust paste) on each slip-on as you can see in my building thread. A clamp on each pipe fixes the whole thing. Hope it helps! greets
I actually just put a spacer between the brake anchor brace and the drum brake, it's not that hard. Yes, 140/90 might fit without mods, but of course I can't tell you that for sure...
thank you for the reply, you have done an awesome job. Unfortunately I do not have the means to do everything myself, I am looking for after-market parts such as fenders and lights and seat in order to start the conversion. However, Bibabatzi I am contemplating whether a 125cc is worth the conversion. I will definitely detail my progress if I start my conversion and hopefully it will looks somewhat as close to yours lol. thanks again for the reply.
Hi, thank you very much. Well, the tyre sits very closely to the swing arm, so you have to watch out there... and I modified the attachment of the brake anchor brace in order to make room for the tyre. Cheers, good luck!
Hi, thank you very much. Well, the front fender is from a Yamaha XV 125 Virago (but a little bit modified) and the rear fender is from ebay for universal use, so I had to modify this one, too. The link is right, these are the pipes i used. I guess you are going to build a bobber, too? If you want to, you can share your build, because I don't think I am the only one who's interested ;) greets
Very Nice Bike indeed. I just found a XVS 125 2000' with 7'000 km for the price of 800 EUR I do not like the look of the original bike but I love what you have done with your bike. I hope you don't mind if I somehow replicate your concept. Thanks for the inspiration ...
I painted many parts, for example the rims, many covers, forks... but the main parts (fuel tank, side covers, fenders) are wrapped with black car foil!
Hi ! Very very nice looking Dragstar !!! Did you do eny modifications with the rear tyre ? Or did it fit without mods ? :) I´m buying XVS Dragstar 125 also and i wanted to build it a bobber style, yours is awesome ! Keep on rocking!
Nochmal Kompliment! *sabber...* :)
Right i now understand what i am doing, thank you for all the help. One last question, from the higher exhaust pipe there is a small pipe that leads into the lower exhaust, what did you do with this pipe? do i just cut it off and then seal the hole?
Wow...that,s cool :) Im thinking about getting a 125cc this summer, i dont need something bigger. But i like the bike to be spesial, like yours.... how much did it cost u ? Best regards from Norway
Great bike man, it looks awesome. I am looking to do something like you, is there anyway u could let me know what i am getting my self into, how much time and money will i need and did u do everything yourself? is there anyway you could give me a brief step by step to turn a dragstar into a bobber. a reply would be great.. thanks
Hi, Thanks that was very helpful. Could you give me some more details about how you clamped it? i don't understand how just clamping the slip-on to the pipes is secure. What clamp did you use?
Toll gemacht, super sound, perfekter style....
Vielen Dank, freut mich.
Err... Well in that case, what did you do to the exhausts an tires from stock? And how'd you mount the mudguard to the swingarm? And lastly... Those grips, where can I find some I those? Preferably in red. It's a kick ass bike man, can't wait to start my own, and use yours as a bit of an example to go by haha.
Me to lucky6z, been looking all over the web for hints and tips. Going into doing my test soon and not sure wether to go with the Honda shadow or the Yamaha xvs
+Bibabatzi , can you tell me how much money did you spend on this bike, wich exhaust do you have on and what mufflers do you use? I'm thinking to make one bobber to. Thanks for replying. P.s cool bike ;)
hi again, i have some more questions. have you re jetted the carb? and have you bought those whitewalls or just painted the tyres? and one last question. the front rim u used is the original one right?
Hab deinen Post im 125er gelesen. Gute Arbeit!
Hello. The bike is for sale again. Everything is legal in the papers now. The bike got a brown genuine leather saddle, leather handles and speedometer bracket. All that was before only laminated is fresh painted in matt black now. For sending pictures and for further informations please contact me.
Hi, I looked at the documentation of you making the bobber, I'm not sure whether i missed something when trying to translate. But could you explain how you made the exhaust? did you have to cut the pipes, and fit the new ends? if so what are the ends? and did you have to rejet? I'm trying to modify my exhaust but confused as to how to do it.
hi again Bibabatzi; can you give me a link for the slip-ons? there are tons of slip-ons on ebay, I'm not sure which one is the one you re using, i couldn't find a proper one.
this is the best looking 125 i've ever seen, awsome bike man :D

Omg looks and sound awesome for a 125.. wish i had one
Nice ride! I wish we had those 125 here in Brazil :(
I painted many parts, for example the rims, many covers, forks...
but the main parts (fuel tank, side covers, fenders) are wrapped with black car foil!
What a beautiful 125! (I think I'd get rid of the big "Yamaha" badge, on the side casing) Lovely!
the bike sounds great.
Hey man great job!!!! I see in a forum the process of your conversion, give me a link to see what you doing on bike!
Cheers
Thank you for the fast response :) Very nice job on the motorbike! One more question :) How much did the exaust cost?
Awesome looking bike mate! Proper motor!
great looking bike ,one of the best looking 125 bobbers ive seen
where did you buy your indicators from
Hi ! Very very nice looking Dragstar !!!

:-D
Great looking bike brah! Nailed it!!
Hey, great video. I just bought a 125. I would lke to buy a bobbed rear fender. I know many have made one, but I am not a fabricator.
Right i now understand what i am doing, thank you for all the help. One last question, from the higher exhaust pipe there is a small pipe that leads into the lower exhaust, what did you do with this pipe? do i just cut it off and then seal the hole?
hi, it's this one: CM1 FRONT 3.00 -18 47P tl
but I use it with tube and originally it has no white walls!
Wow...that,s cool :)
Im thinking about getting a 125cc this summer, i dont need something bigger.
But i like the bike to be spesial, like yours.... how much did it cost u ?

how tall u are? great bike i like it
Hi, Thanks that was very helpful. Could you give me some more details about how you clamped it? i don't understand how just clamping the slip-on to the pipes is secure. What clamp did you use?
Great Sound. I want to be my Sound of my 650 Dragstar. in near future
that bike is AWESOME
You were splashing a lot of dosh on that, so why that crappy saddle ? Square indicators ?
Otherwise cool enough.
Wundervolles Bike hast du da!
Ist der Auspuff so zugelassen? :D
Eigenbau, oder?
wat have you done to give the big that great sound and grunt for it being a 125 cc
Put straight pipes on your 125 and you'll see. :p Stock pipes are so heavily muffled you'd never think a 125 could sound beefy.
Korsfestelse tru even the smal 50cc can have a good sound.. if you have a 125cc 2stroke forget it 😂
absolutely beautiful
i also has yahama xvs 125 dragstar. i am thinking to modify and your is so cool.
awesome bobber! Can you tell me the make of the exhaust and where you got them from please?!?
Solche herrliche Musik .. köstlich! 1:47
Hey man, here did you get that awesome back fender from? Awesome job on the bike! :D

And this is 125cc?! How did you make it sound so good? D:
well done my friend, well done.
Amazing built.
How much did this cost to build?Awesome....planing to make one too.
Work of art
Nice Backyard Home grown Custom.
Nice Bike! Can you send me a list with the parts you have upgraded or modded?

hi again, i have some more questions.
have you re jetted the carb?
and have you bought those whitewalls or just painted the tyres?
and one last question.
the front rim u used is the original one right?
Very Nice!
Hab deinen Post im 125er gelesen. Gute Arbeit!

live to ride - ride to live!!!
This thing is brutal.
Hey, beautifoul moto!!, can you explain me all the parts and others that you have put on this moto?
thanks - just look at the other comments, I explained many things already. cheers
Hi, did you have to cut the subframe? Beautiful!
Schönes Ding
Did you have to rejet the carburetor with the new exhaust? or was the performance not affected by the new exhausts?

they do not ship to bulgaria =(
anyway, ty for the respond man.
Geiles teil! Aber sag ma der Helm, was das für einer is der erlaubt? Wenn ja, will ihn haben!
I would pay to have one of those
I love it!
Is this white wall paint good? How good does it last? Is there any cracks in the painted part of tire?
Such a sick bike! Would you consider doing something like this for money?
that's the dream, well sort of :b
How did you learn to do things like this?
Hi.
