Can you do iOS 18 on iPhone 13
Runs phenomenal on my iPad 9th generation! Can’t wait to upgrade my iPhone to the 16 so I can take full advantage of everything ios 18 is bringing!
iOS 18 runs pretty well and has good battery for me, but I do have the blank icons every time it switches from dark mode in the morning. Have to go to customize and toggle large icons to fix things. Hope that is fixed in the next beta. The MacOS beta has totally knocked out my widgets.

I think iOS 18 has been good so far. Only real bug I have is when typing in messages it will stop

17.5.1 is making my phone so hot
I’ve only had my 15 pm for a month or so and I’m noticing the overheating issues. 😢. I want to wait for the 17 or 18 iPhone so I hope this gets fixed. I thought it had been addressed.
If it’s summer over at where you are, it may be contributing to the heating issues. I noticed my 15PM heats up really quickly in the hot weather and bright sun

8 days ago I updated my iPhone 15 and my iPhone 13 to 17.5.1 So far all is fine. 😊

i was on IOS 18 Beta and my phone started to restart every 3 minutes. I took it to the apple store and they said i needed a mid system replacement. I found it surprising because i have an iPhone 14 and I got it earlier this year and within 2 weeks when IOS 18 Developer Beta released, my phone was done. Should I stay off all betas or will public beta be safe for me?
I am on the 15PM, and have not had any major issues with heat and battery performance. However, a family member is on a regular 13, and they are having dismal battery life and occasion hotness.

I have the airdrop failure on iOS 17.5.1 as well as the phone getting warmer sometimes
IOS beta 2 on iPhone 14PM and iPad Pro M2, for the iPhone, I don’t have any big issue yet other than the CarPlay might change the view randomly, on iPad, I can’t move the shortcut to 2nd page somehow and icons does not display properly.
I'm on T-mobile and RCS is working but it's sporadic at times where it will send as an SMS message and then the next message it will send as an RCS message.
RCS is on AT&T. I have tested it using my Galaxy S24 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Maybe the people don't know how to recognize it or they are texting someone without RCS? Maybe it isn't working on non-pro phones but that wouldn't make sense. I can confirm it has been working on AT&T from the start of the activation.

storage bug for me is also on my m1 macbook pro aswell ive noticed, but as for my ipad the storage usage climbs until the ipad crashes and reboots, doesnt seem to be an issue on my iphone 15 pro max right now though last i checked i was around 50GB
I've been using linux for years, but ios 18 is genuinely the first OS release that's got me excited in a long time. So looking forward to this.

Do you know if in iOS 18 they have fixed the issue where iMessages always default to all messages? I ask because, every time I open iMessages, I have to switch to known senders only which only last until the iPhone locks and is unused for about 10 minutes or more.
Hello everyone well i am using iPhone as my 1st phone and i have a wired thing with my iPhone when i pull the control centre and again i pull the control centre again ( without pull it up) there's slight white light from left top side that came and gome when i pull it can u check this with your iPhone is it normal?

I plan to probably get the iPhone 16 via the 24 interest free payment plan to check out the AI stuff. As that way it won't feel like I'm wasting $800 on a phone as you can get a good laptop for that money.

I'm running beta 2 of iOS 18 on a 13 Pro Max. I have AT&T and my phone shows toggle switches defaulted on for RCS and MMS messaging. I notice this after the beta 2 update.
I use IPhone 15 Pro Max - Installed 17.6 Beta 2 - 1 bug found while charging- It charges up to 80% and says the temperature is high and charge once it cools down. This is the first time I am getting this? Did any one had this issue? I also felt phone got heated, it is hotter than normal and this is first time I felt phone got hot
I'll never update to beta again. Battery has been horrible on my 15pm. My battery went from 95 to 92 in space of a few days.
The beta doesnt really affect battery health like that. However it does cause you to charge more typically early on.
MY only dig on Beta 2 is that I have horrible wifi and cellular connection. I sometimes don't get any connection on any app and my FaceTime callls are horrible and have to use my Macbook which is also on beta and works just fine
Thanks going to hold off until it’s on par with iOS 17. High temps are really bad especially in hot climates
it’s in beta it’s obviously not gonna be on-par and will heat the devices up

My 15 pro max battery doing great still. 293 cycles and 93% battery health. Not bothered about battery as I’ll change it when need be. Also my geek bench 6 scores are 2970 average single and 7600 average multi. But a lot cooler over here so I’m guessing that helps. Also using beta. Odd bug here or there but running good for a dev beta
Last night I had the black screen of death on my iPhone 14 PRM. On iOS 17.5.1. I had too do a hard reset to iPhone to get it to work again. I have never I had that happen before. It was chargeing on my Anker 3 and 1 charger.
I don't understand why you get a poor battery life, I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 18 beta 2, 158 cycles and 98% maximum capacity. I had 90% battery usage for 9h of screen active time, and 5 minutes of screen idle time, and I played games!
When watching UA-cam or doing anything else, I have 50% battery usage for 11h hours screen active time and 4 minutes screen idle time.
Seems that something is using a lot of battery during screen idle time on your phone... That's really strange.

Also, I'm in EU, so maybe some stuff in the background are disabled.
When running benchmarks, I have similar results
its different way... but my iphone 13 mini yes the battery is way more less than 17 iOS, like about 20% less than 17 compare

Did you plug in at all during that time? If so it still counts it in a 24 hour period.
94% 229 cycles, 9-11hrs of medium use and still 30-35% left.
14 Pro here still at 100%, my older 11 Pro is at 95%. I also don't understand how people are killing their batteries so quickly, unless they are very HEAVY phone users.
Making the AI a subscription is shockinggg💀😭😭😭😮💨 like can they at least make notifications for subscriptions……I’ve been waitingggggg

The wallpaper dimming bug too i think i figured it out, i didn’t get any on iOS 17 though but with iOS 18 beta 2 when im on dark mode the home screen wallpaper is actually set to dim by default so when i unlock my phone or swipe away from the notification i see that change… well, that’s my experience though i’m yet to try it with light mode. I’ll let you know if i find anything else.
My biggest issue is that my app icons keep getting stuck on the null image. Hopefully the beta 3 fixes this 😅 on iPhone 12.

Apple won’t release screen mirroring in the EU at all, it seems. Neither their AI.

Hello folks. How do we get the black badges on the icons instead of the red ones. I'm on iOS 18 beta 2, I've set my home screen and icon pack to dark but still have them red, on all the Apps, whether it be on first party or third party apps

When I add buttons to the control screen they disappear. Possibly after a restart which I’ve been doing to fix the icon rendering issue. I had over 100Gb of system data and the phone started crashing. I had to do a full erase and restore to fix it.
I’ve seem to lost my volume since bate 2 update. I can barely hear my ringer or music through the iPhone 14 Pro’s speaker. Am I the only one ?
Just tested iOS 18 beta 2 on the 14 pro max and the battery drain over 20 percent overnight. They need to fix that asap. On the other side I love the new interface, the dark icons and everything else. Can’t wait for the stable version.

I experienced the screen share on my iPhone 14 iOS 17 with Apple Support when they were troubleshooting an issue with my AirPods Pro. I’m glad they are making that available to general users.
I used focus mode added phone number and my name to the Home Screen.
With the audio bug i noticed it on iOS 17 too. Sometimes when i use Face Unlock the audio goes down and changing the volume does nothing unless i close the music app and reopen it again. With the iOS 18 beta 2 it sometimes happens too but also when my battery is below 20% i get the audio bug…

On iOS18 beta2 on my 15pro had a number of issues with Homescreen icons disappearing , the app is still in place, just with white/tranparent placeholder
Finally got the conclusion the 50gb of data storage is being happening with more people. Thought it was only me. Geez, I'm trying to clean everything and it just dont goes down. Hopefully next beta update fixes it.

Has the bug that causes the phone to get stuck in the reboot loop , and won’t stop no matter what you do , so you need to get a replacement fixed yet ?
This happened on my iPhone 14pm and I ended up having to get a replacement . I really liked the update , however I don’t want to risk getting it on my new , replacement 15pm . Because , I don’t want my phone to become unusable again .
Screen Time is horrendous. It just won’t let me go into it and it will crash for me. Please mention it in one of your videos in IOS 18 beta 2

iOS 18 Beta 2 on a 64 GB iPhone SE 2nd gen. The only problem I’ve had is the storage bug. (I’ve had to factory reset the phone twice.) Overall, the experience with apps has been okay. Love the new features!
Can confirm that Sound Recognition eats battery time. In fact on mine it accounts for 30% of my entire battery usage, I have been getting around 7 hours screen time on a full charge even with it on, using iPhone 15 Pro. So that just got turned off lol
I’m using iOS 18 beta 2 with the iPhone 12, and I’ve had issues with the Music app for instance, I added a song onto a playlist which wasn’t available anymore and the pop-up kept on reappearing every time I clicked OK and it got so bad to the point where I had to end up turning off my phone
Another issue is sometimes the phone gets so stressed out. It doesn’t even turn out like I would tap the screen and nothing would happen and I tap the button to turn it on and nothing will happen but eventually it will come on.
I had an issue in Apple Music with the first beta wear any Hi-Rez lossless audio will immediately crash my phone honestly I thought it was Travis Scott I was doing it, but no, it was the audio quality😂

Battery capacity on my iPad Pro M2 has gone from 96.11% to 94.88% over the course of a week. I am never ever experimenting with beta tech unless it’s on my iPhone (2 years old so it’s fine i can afford a battery replacement on it).
How do you check battery health on iPad on mine doesn’t show like on my iPhone

There are dark mode icons in iOS 18. They switch based on your settings.

I'm experiencing a weird app icon bugwher the affected icon has a white background, 2 concentric circles in a 4x4 grid with 2 diagonals passing through the centre.

So I updated to the iOS 18 developer beta and I tried unsending a text but it said that because the other person didn’t have the same software, they may still receive the message. I have no idea whether it unsent or not on their end then?
Always happens with Beta, I just assume those are not unsent.
Aaron, my iPad mini brightness has dimmed significantly even on full brightness setting.
What are all suggestions for how to increase brightness?
I have turned off auto-brightness and zoom filter.
Turning off auto brightness shouldn’t make a difference. If the brightness dropped it’s usually due to the phone being too hot.
@@zollotech My post concerned my iPad brightness. I have “reset all settings” copiously.
Latest update, SUPERSEDES what went before : I cannot recommend resetting ALL SETTINGS on the iPad mini (mine’s a 6) enough.
My brightness has improved by ALMOST A THIRD according to my slider and the control center setting.
Colours are truer, crisper.
Contrast is now better.
It’s great.
My iPhone 15+ is better is the above-mentioned ways as well.

i wish apple would stop calling EVERYTHING a "feature" if you make a square toggle round its not a "feature" its a ui tweak. There is nothing "feature" about it. A "feature" is something new that is specific to that version of IOS that is of note.
I’m seeing my icons just disappear randomly on iOS 18 beta 2 weird
i had to downgrade my iPad Pro off of the beta because of the system data issue. It was almost 200 GB and left me with 25 GB of space
I had the same issue, system data used up all of my storage so that I had to offload 90 percent of my apps. So I also downgraded.

I’ll be honest the ios18 beta update was probably the most nervous I’ve been during a major update, considering how hot my phone got and how bad the battery was. So glad when beta 2 arrived. There’s still some weird issues but I’ll take it.
