After 96 years as a YMCA without a centralized location, the Meadowlands Area YMCA is transforming the former Brooklyn Nets headquarters and training center into a new 83,200-square-foot community center which will include the existing gymnasium with two NBA-grade basketball courts, The Mara Family Day Care center, state-of-the-art wellness center, exercise and dance studios, teen and senior center, theater, rock-climbing wall, technology labs, multi-purpose classrooms and meeting space. A physical therapy practice will be located at the facility.
