2022 Baleno Variants Explained | Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha | Feb | The Ultimate Analysis

- Feb 2022: V3Cars analyses which variant of the petrol-powered Maruti Nexa Baleno makes the most sense for buyers in terms of the value it offers for the money you pay.
Prices of the Baleno start from Rs ₹6.35 lakh and go up to Rs. ₹9.49 lakh.
The Maruti Nexa Baleno is 3990mm long, 1745mm wide and 1500mm tall. Bigger exterior dimensions give a car a stronger road presence. The Baleno has a 2520mm long wheelbase. A long wheelbase makes the car more stable at high speeds and gives better legroom in the back seat, while a shorter wheelbase makes the car more agile.
The Maruti Nexa Baleno is available with a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 5MT transmission. This engine makes 90PS of power at 6000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 4400rpm.

The new Baleno looks stunning and the road presence looks amazing as well. What is disappointing is that the CVT has been replaced by AGS ..which in my opinion is inferior when compared with CVT or a traditional torque converter. I had a terrible experience with Celerio AMT and finally had to discard the car and go in for a Hyundai i10 AT. Maruti should rething it's decision to introduce AGS on Baleno when it has categorised Baleno as a premium hatch back.

All the variants are loaded well & priced to perfection. Zeta is the most VFM variant according to me.
Its a killer Package among Premium hatch with good Spacious & Comfortable Cabin space. It offers the best K-Series Refined, responsive & Efficient engine. Plus above all it offers Maruti Reliability and biggest Service Stn Network in India.
I wish it scores atleast 3-4 Stars Crash Ratings to silence all biased UA-camr of Tata Motors.
Altroz rear is cramped as compared to both i20 & Baleno.

I am currently using Wagon r 2012 model and I am very much happy with it. Now planning to upgrade . One of option is Baleno. I have a budget constraint.. I have two potions .1. Go for Wagon R 1.2 zxi or 2. Go for Baleno base variant Sigma. Can it be personalized with accessories which is good to have ? Some feedback I got that Baleno rear seat space is not up to mark. Please advise.

Pricing is similar to celerio. The first 2 models makes less sense and are overpriced.

@@easypezee and much better performing engine , altroz iturbo engine is comparable to baleno dual jet, so price is almost identical where baleno has more features
@@krishchaudhry2222 i will buy Baleno any day. 4 cylinder engine against 3 of altroz. Heads up display more practical use than ambient lighting. 360 camera. Better infotainment.. 60-40 seats, 6 air bags people who were concerned with build.

Everyone should atleast buy the Zeta variant but if you area guy who wants it all out wants features then Alpha is the way to go, thanks V3Cars!

Now Baleno alpha and i20 asta are in same price range. In my opinion i20 asta or if budget permits asta (O) is a good choice as well.
I don't know why maruti forget about adding armrest for rear passenger. That's good to have feature this days.

6 air bags are useless if they haven't improved the poor build quality of the car. So you should wait till it's tested.
