- Apr 2023: V3Cars analyses which variant of the petrol-powered Maruti Nexa Fronx makes the most sense for buyers in terms of the value it offers for the money you pay.
Prices of the Fronx start from Rs 7.47 lakh and go up to Rs 12.98 lakh.
The Maruti Nexa Fronx is 3995mm long, 1765mm wide and 1550mm tall. Bigger exterior dimensions give a car a stronger road presence. The Fronx has a 2520mm long wheelbase. A long wheelbase makes the car more stable at high speeds and gives better legroom in the back seat, while a shorter wheelbase makes the car more agile.
The Maruti Nexa Fronx is available with a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 5MT transmission. This engine makes 90PS of power at 6000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 4400rpm. It also gets a 1.0L turbo petrol engine that comes with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Very surprising to see as basic feature like Rear View Parking Camera present in only the top 2 variants.
When ever i see price of fronx or all recently launched maruthi cars, I felt xuv300 petrol or diesel base is far better interms power, safety and maintenance…just canceled fronx and booked base variant of xuv300!! Who cares features when you enjoy drivability, we all just need essential features any-day and provided in base variant like tpms, all 4 disc brakes and steering modes, imp need in using car for 10 plus years is enjoying the drive and more power 😊
Absolute best decision, now a day's maruti is highest when it come to maintenance cost.
XUV 300 is three cylinder engine!!

So much for those 39000 bookings. Maruti dealers should expect a flurry of cancellations post the price reveal. Is it just me or are cars in India are just atrociously overpriced? There seems to be no end to the greed. The way things are moving, in a few years there might not be any model available for less than a million Indian Rupees in India!
Recently in oct 2022 toyota launched hyryder. Price of hyryder s hybrid upon launch is 15,11,000 Exshowroom
Now they increase prices by 50,000 2 times. Current Exshowroom is 16,21,000.
They are increasing atrociously
People are buying so prices are increasing, imo i dont think the raw material price is increasing as fast as the prices of cars and that chip shortage is over rn it's more pf oversupply situation. But there are so many cars on road now almost all cars have waiting and more waiting on expensive ones. So high demand high price.

@@EmpusaGamingYT It's the taxation which makes the car expensive in India. For example, I just bought the Seltos HTX IVT last year and here is the break up, just for the ex-showroom price:
Price of the Vehicle - Rs 9,88,965
+ GST (28%) - Rs 2,76,910
+ Cess (17%) - Rs 1,68,124
+ TCS (0.75%) - Rs 10,755
Total - Rs 14,44,755
Now, on this you add the remaining charges i.e. registration, insurance etc., and on that too you're paying a certain GST. In the end, when you're buying a car, almost 50% price is paid to the government. So, yes! Indian cars are overpriced drastically but I won't blame the manufacturers here but the government who has been taxing the automotive sector like absolute maniacs!
6.99 to 11.99 would have been the appropriate price. Maruti made it's own compitition with baleno, fronx and brezza.
They failed to capture the market of the venue, Nexon, sonet, magnite , kiger. If price was reasonable, it would have been a top selling car due to its looks.
They can't stretch a baleno and charge the brezza price!!!

I had booked Fronx Zeta 6AT in February. Thought it would have an On-Road Kolkata Price of 12.50-12.70 lakhs. They launched the car a few days ago and revealed the zeta automatic on road price of 13.99 Lakhs. I was really disappointed and booked the Tata Nexon XZA+ Petrol in April.

Fronx delta plus ki price me Punch creative milega with better safety and more features like keyless entry push start cruise control extra speaker. And turbo fronx ki price me brezza and Nexon milega with better safety.
I had booked Zeta, it is quite overpriced. I am going to cancel my booking and will go for Tata Nexon Or Sonet which is better option in this price range.
Instead of sonet consider venue. Sonet is due for update anytime soon.

Zeta with 1.2 na engine & amt would have been a good product. Same config in a baleno is under 10L & offers super vfm.

Hi V3car team, your variants explained videos are fantastic and even the comparison videos are extremely informative and detailed. however I feel you should add NCAP rating as part of video as well. I know it is not available for all models but still it is worth putting because NCAP awareness is required and people should know about it. Maruti products are quite overpriced in general considering they have poor safety ratings

Hello, is it that the Delta+ 1.0l turbo MT has smart hybrid technology on top of being a turbo engine, then does it justify the extra premium we are paying for an upgrade from a Delta+ 1.2l NA MT? is it considered a VFM if we are on a budget or would you still consider Zeta 1.0l turbo MT?

1.2 should be available all the way, but people won't buy the turbo car if not made compulsory. I'm planning to get the delta + AGS, 1.2.
Zeta 1.2 MT and AT can suffice most expectations and remain under 10L. Alas they have launched delta plus to save turbo.
Cruise control only available in top variant instead of buying top variant will get brezza lxi
kindly do the following tests on Fronx - (1) 0 to 100 KMPH time. (2) 0 to 60 KMPH time (3) 20 to 60 KMPH time. kindly carry out the tests for (A) Fronx 1.2 manual. (B) Fronx 1.2 AGS (C) Fronx Boosterjet manual (D) Fronx Boosterjet AT (Torque Converter).

This is going to increase sales of brezza lxi given the value for money it delivers. A lot of people were waiting for it to reveal so that they can cancel brezza booking due to high waiting time but now people will book brezza and cancel this

Brezza vxi is better option than turbo for budget buyers. Better safety than this heartattack platform & features are also comparable between brezza vxi & delta plus fronx.
