In this video, is a wreck I worked early Sunday morning, on a narrow residential street.
A Toyota Tacoma ran off the road and smashed into a concrete driveway, seriously injuring both occupants. They hit with enough fore to launch the headlights and the battery nearly 100ft away. Please keep the occupants and their families in your thoughts and prayers!

That was a horrible accident. Glad they made it through this. You should carry some baking soda on your truck just incase you run across another battery that has exploded. Baking soda will neutralize the acid if it gets on you. Just whatever you do don't wash it off with tap water. if you have to use water, use distilled water. Tap water has chlorine in it and it will react with the acid. Stay safe and thanks for posting this one.
Thanks for the info about the battery. Always a good reminder to neutralize the acid so nobody gets hurt if they are around the crash site.

It's some responders out there like that. I had to go to a two car accident the other day. While I was loading the car, 1 officer grabbed my broom and the other one grabbed the scoop to help clean up.

Wow.. that had to be one hell of a ride.. kinda surprised that wasn't a fatal.. especially seeing how far the headlight and battery made it from the truck. Would've been interesting to see the video from the home owner though. Hopefully they both come out of it ok

Using your remote and positioning yourself away from the rollback really gave a great view of the action.

Geez, when you were looking under the hood from the front, I don't even see the motor! I would have thought you would have hooked to the back and pulled it on backwards. The wheels draggin across the grass and letting the front end drag backwards would likely do less damage to the lawn without the sharp edges of things in the front digging in. Something to think about for next time. That 'Yota must have been cruisin

@@Towtruck_Dustin Oh very much so, and we get them at AAA as well! I work out of the Portland area, and there have been a few up in the mountains that push my truck and I to the limit. It's a lot of fun, but some of them still weigh on me.

Another great, vid! I'm no expert but have you ever considered bring a 5 gallon bucket to throw plastic scraps into and just dump it into the vehicle? Seems a lot faster then picking a few pieces and going back and forth.
Generally I use a plastic bag.

Definitely was a rough ride. Last I heard, they were alive, just had a lot of recovering to do.
That cooler in the bed would make a great bucket for picking up little pieces instead of walking back an forth but hindsight is 20/20 😁

Congrats on getting the truck back. You advertise the "Guardian Angel" at the end. I think some of these people in these accident have a Guardian Angel watching after them. As in this accident they were lucky to be alive. Definitely be praying for them!
They definitely had someone looking after them.

that's one good tuition we had from you. Definitely we will gonna share this page to our loved once out there to always be minded of this. yeah life is always important, therefore peoples should take this life seriously, and paly safe when they hit the road, I believe might have be wrong that lead the dammed crash.

Going to ask you to be very careful in your line of work. My cousin's husband, Jim Corl a tow truck co owner in pa, was killed by another tractor trailer while hooking up a broken down TT - it ultimately ruined his family. So please be extra careful.
Unfortunately this line of work comes with great danger, and many ops don’t come home because someone else wasn’t paying attention.
My condolences to you and your family for the loss.

You don't want the vehicle owner trying to blame the tow truck driver for the damage.
Unfortunately you have to document everything now days. Even after an accident like this.
Our 2020 Dodge caravan had to get towed do to a crash everyone is safe tho

Regardless of it’s condition I try not to cause any unnecessary damage. It’s unavoidable sometimes tho.
One of my Favorite Places to visit is The Towing Museum in Chattanooga. SLOW DOWN AND PULL OVER!

Can't beat a Toyota 😂. I had to work a wreck that involved a Nissan Frontier and a Ford F150. I believe it was a head on collision. The Nissan held up a whole lot better than the Ford.
