Blower Bearing Replacement Using the SUPCO Bearing Buster
Вставка

- I have been waiting to try the SUPCO Bearing Buster for a while on a jobsite blower bearing replacement. This bearing was extremely tight as it had been on there for several years and very rusted underneath the bearing assembly. Because the spider bracket could be removed, a puller could have been used in this situation, but I have found on tight bearings that the pulling force of a puller can damage the bracket and I wanted to give the Bearing Buster a fair go. In some Bearing Buster vides I have seen, the bearing comes off in one shot, this is dependent on the severity of how damaged the shaft is underneath.

Took some grunt work as it was seized but the tool did its job!
Professional as always!!!!!!👍
You did the other video yet
I just purchased this tool. My last bearing was so far up the shaft. The puller couldn’t reach it. A guy came with a bearing buster, and we had it out in 15 minutes
Picked up all three sizes a few months ago after looking for an easier way to remove these bearings. Haven't used them yet but looking forward to it.
Let us know!
Seeing a tool like this for the first time
My first time trying it too
Should just hold the wrench in place and spin the pulley since it seems clear and smooth (shaft) anyhow. Great content!
Pulley pulley also works with those Gary
That’s how i do most of my bearings and they easily come out
Hope it helps buddy
Personally I don't put my puller on the outside of the pulley's just because of the chance that you will break or bend or deform the outer ring if you go to the inside hub where it's solid steel you don't have to worry but that's just me to each their own also I have found that if you use a automotive cam sprocket puller they fit a lot easier and are smaller and just as strong
Could you have used that same puller that you used to take the pulley off to take the bearing off?
where did you get your puller? (not the bearing buster)
What brand of pulley puller do you have?
CPS
👍
Curious: how long did it take you to pull those bearings? Would this save any time compared to replacing the shaft and wheel?
About 25 min, these ones were super seized though. I've seen techs pop these in 1 or 2 blows.
@@HVACKnowItAll interesting… I’m going to give it a shot! Thanks
Hate to be that guy…….but, would be wise to wear gloves in this situation. I’m busting up my knuckles just watching this😂
No knuckles were harmed during the making of this video lol. But yes you're correct, gloves would be good.
@@HVACKnowItAll I only say I it because I known without a doubt, I’d be bleeding everywhere 😂
Wow york never thinks of shit
