Rue's French is impeccably clean.... !!! As do the other languages she sings in, but as a German, French, and English speaker myself, it's difficult to use the exact accent, when it's meant to be used. This band "kicks some ass" and their synth-work is beyond extraordinaire.... !!!
Saw them on Gothicat festival easter sunday! Was so awesome reminds me of another band called Popsimonova.

I'm not sure what she is saying but it doesn't matter, this song has an awesome beat
The song is about suffering of being obssesed by the past and feared by the future.
I would not say it relates so much to suffering as would do the traditional goth song (a bit like : we like so much suffering, tears & melancholy and this is why we dress in black). This is a dialogue about the relative importance of past, present and future in our life. At one point one of the two characters contradict the first ("but no Mallora, this is the opposite"). As past & future are the roots of suffering, the solution is to focus the present. 2nd character claims "if you forget past & future, you win present". The message is a mix of buddhist - avoidance of suffering - & epicurean - carpe diem - philosophy, and finally, it looks like a positive message disguised behind a goth song.
@@th.l.7768 I'll have to find the lyrics translated to English, if possible

I will try not to betray the intention of the artist, nor the English syntax ^^)
"Do you think that:
If you forget the future,
you loose the present?
Where’d you get that?
I’m asking you
It is in this book that I read recently
It is in this book that I read recently
No, Paloma, it’s the opposite!
You look surprised at me
The future and the past are the cause of suffering:
Attachment, aversion and confusion
Attachment, aversion and confusion
It is the cause of suffering
If you forget the future and the past, you win the present!
If you forget the future and the past, you win the present!"
I quite agree with Simone’s comment : this song speaks more about the way in which one can apprehend daily life (not to regret past things and not to worry about things to come) than about what goths call suffering in the face of death, loneliness, betrayal, misunderstanding, abandonment, disaffection, ... The first time I heard this song was in a podcast on Communion After Dark.
ils auraient pu se fendre d'un meilleur clip. Pexel pictures? bof.
