- This video shows the lapping zone and lapping length in column. Overlapping of reinforcement in Rcc structures is required due to the limit of the steel bar length, so how much should be the overlapping length be provided so that steel have the good bond, for that we choose lapping length which should be according to the standard codes, and we should lap our column reinforcement where there is no critical section.
