I have visited bhangarh and this is very beautiful and once you would not believe that this is the scariest place in india.
But I think that we should respect the sentiment of people and community which don't want to join the society and we should keep our- self away from that.
You are allowed to go to Gurudongmar. In fact, a huge throng of tourists come here every year. And FYI, Gurudongmar isn't a river. It's a lake and considered to be one of the holiest at that.

You can visit Guru Dongmar, it's in outer Sikkim. And you don't have to take any permit rather you have to take oxygen cylinder. It's beautiful and my friend has visited the same spot you talking about.
Cho Lhamu lake can be visited by common people provided they have permit ,and this lake is regarded as sacred by the Buddhist community of sikkim and has a very spiritual significance to the people of sikkim

gurdongmaa lake is not limited to army dude, i was there at sikkim for almost 8-9 months and i have been there once, and many of my friend have been there. it is also known as zero point.

It is a place Guru Daang Maar. It is a Gurudwara here , which is Guru Nanak Ji's time. Daang means wooden stick (लाठी) (मार)। unhone yahaan per lathi maar k zameen se pani nikala tha jo aaj zheel hai. Abhi kuch mahine pehle sikkim government is gurudwara ko band kar rahi thi.

Gurudongmar nadi nahi hai mere dost its a lake and any one can allow to visit your research is not true coz its situated in sikkim and I'm frm sikkim too
