Coriolis flowmeters can measure virtually all fluids and gases, as it used for single phase flow measurement. if you would like to use same flowmeter to measure liquid and gas, we call it two or multiple phases flow metering. When multiple phases are present, some of the basic assumptions made in Coriolis measurement break down. Primarily, the fluid no longer vibrates in sync with the flow tubes resulting in measurement errors.
