    Speaking of compromise, having your DEF tank so far from the fuel tank is good and bad. Good for less chances of putting DEF in the fuel. But bad at truck stops. You need to move the truck to get to the other tank. Nice video, I like seeing different RV's.

    Tiffin had an earlier video where they mentioned putting the refrigerator on the slide for the 38AB, to give more space in that walkway. That was direct customer feedback with the model you toured and they answered. Appreciate y'all's content and enjoy your adventures!

    I like that more companies are building super C's maybe more RV parks will allow them in their park's. I have an iKon and some RV parks don't allow them.
    Keep the rubber on the road.

    Nice, but good to know you’re sticking with your 33AA. We made the decision a couple of years ago to keep ours as well. You lose too much money in a trade. Plus, the 33AA with all fours slides extended is plenty big enough for us.

    Julie and I have looked at the class C but the separate living from the cockpit was something we couldn't get past. Once you live in a class A for some time and then try to step into a C, it was hard for us to conceive, but to each their own. We have friends with class C's and they are very happy. The new models sure are nice though. I can smell the new rv smell now. Thanks for sharing another great video. Stay Safe out there. Peace

    We really considered getting a Super C last fall. The Tiffin was not out yet and when we heard about it we were excited. We really were expecting to move out of our Tiffin 2013 Allegro Bus 38 for most of the reasons mentioned and the ease of driving. HOWEVER, I am 6ft 2 and 250 lbs and found the cockpit too confining. I, like Phil, have knee and lower back issues and was not able to get enough room to change leg positions in the C vs the Motor Coach. Also the Passenger space is also small and does not recline. We were disappointed but moved up to a Tiffin 2018 Allegro Bus 40SP and love it. Great to see you in Tampa. YoloRvAdventure on UA-cam,

    I believe that Super C's have their place. Just make sure if you do test drive one, be sure to drive at freeway speeds for awhile. The engine noise can be a lot louder in the small Freightliner cab. I have driven the business class small Freightliners quite a lot. The noise is more than in the class 8 cabs. If you are used to a rear engine, this could be a concern for you. Hopefully they add more insulation than in the truck version. The newer small diesels might be quieter than the older Cummins and Cats were that I drove.

    One thing you have to consider is that your living space is reduced. Like all class C’s you you lose space because of the cab and engine. So if your super C is 39’ your living space is maybe 30’, that’s the one drawback in my book. We had a 45’ super C and only had about 35’ of living space. Another drawback is limited pass through bay storage because of the drive axle. Plus it drives a lot different than a class A. We had our super C for five years and liked it, but went back to a class A because of the increased living and storage space.

    What is the OCCC of the model with the bath and a half? Also what are the empty axel weights. There is a lot of storage over the rear axel, but there is a lot of stuff from the factory over the rear axel. I could see the potential where a rig could be within the GVWR and over weight on the rear axel.

    These Class Cs look amazing and I’d have a hard time picking a layout, BUT … THE PRICES ARE INSANE!!! Who’s buying these things? I just don’t understand how RV manufacturers are making any sales. I know materials prices have risen and demand is high, but ALL makes and models are priced exorbitantly. I’m super glad I’m not currently looking to buy. I know who you are. I do know what i want. If you're looking for replacement, I can tell you I don't have money... but what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that could make me a nightmare. If you let my Ruby go, that will be the end of it - I will look for you, I will pursue you... but if you don't, I will continue following you, I will watch you... Sincerly the mechanic.

    Personally I don't understand spending precious interior space of an RV on a half bath. I know many folks like them but in my world a mid bath where your guests can do their business is much preferable to having less space for other things. I'm also not crazy about the fact that the kitchens are on the slides in both it seems like it's just asking for trouble to me. Thanks for the tour guys.

    the weight limit info is wrong. see 9:31
    gvwr = gross vehicle weight restriction. this is total weight limit of the rig including fuel, water, black/grey tanks, cargo etc. 33,000lbs
    gcwr = gross combined weight restriction. this is total weight of rig AND trailer/tow vehicle. so in this example the the 33,000lbs and 12,000lb tow limit for the total of 45,000 lbs

    Nice review guys however there are far to many deal breakers for me. Starting with a 2000 watt inverter, 4 agm batteries and no pass through storage. Then a 45 gal black tank. So much for boondocking who did they build this for? I'm running a cummins 360 with an Allison 3000 transmission can you imagine trying to tow 15k in the Rockies. When is Tiffin, Entegra or Newmar going to wake up and build a coach with 3000 watt electrical system with 600 AH of lithium batteries. Also pass through storage is a must. A 45 gal black tank is good for about 5 days unless you have an electric toilet. Nice paint disappointing build.

    • @jackharding98
      @jackharding98 2 роки тому

      Thanks for sharing your input, it helps me. I don't know who Tiffin planned this for, but it might be someone like me. I have teenagers still so the bunk over cab interests me more than a Bunkhouse model. I wouldn't tow more than a small car but I want Diesel so I can avoid the Gas pumps and use the easy truck fuel lines. Again with kids, I probably wouldn't be able to travel too long and would likely stick to RV parks, so tank size is flexible for me. The hope then is that after my kids went off to college, the Tiffin would last a few more years into retirement. Then I'd realize the considerations you listed and go get a class A.

      Don't get me wrong I am a happy tiffin owner. They have stood behind their product since the date of purchase. I'm running a 38qra awesome rig. My comments about the electrical system are based on personal experience. Would you pay an extra 5k for 3000 watts and 600AH of lithium iron phosphate batteries? I would, that would mean you would never have to change your house batteries and you would have about 36 hours of run time. The 3000 watt hybrid inverter would allow you to run the coach on 30 amps. This opens up a lot of camp sites in state and national parks. Two ac units need 50 amps. The hybrid inverter allows you to use the 30 amps and draw the balance from the house batteries. I'm a retired Aircraft mechanic my wife and I have been fulltime rving for 5 years. With 40,000 miles on the rig. I just wish they built the new rigs with the latest technology. My next mod will be STARLINK when available for mobile use come on Elon.

    Jayco Super C with the Tiffen name....since THOR INDUSTRIES own both R V companies.

    Feels like the super-C's have a lot less storage space in the bays

    • @jackharding98
      @jackharding98 2 роки тому

      They do. A front engine means a driveshaft is going all the way back to the rear axle. Thus the restriction of the storage bays.

    Sorry to put this on here. But just thought you should be aware. Saw tictok video of someone using tow truck to steal vehicles behind motorhomes. In parking lot while owners are asleep

    Overpriced and underpowered. Why you would put an ISB 6.7 in something like this, I don’t understand , unless it is staying close to an “entry level” Super C. The cockpit is too small, you can’t rotate driver and passenger seats around, so you lose seating. The extra 1/2 bath makes no sense due to space loss. This may ring a lot of bells for people, but I am not a Super C fan as I have yet to see a layout I care for - just my opinion. I’ll stick with my class A, thx. Good over view though from people who actually use a product.

      Every rig has pros and cons. Good point about losing the seating from the cockpit area in Class C models. Thanks for watching and commenting.

      The Renegade Valencia, Jayco Seneca, and Entegra Accolade are all on the S2RV chassis, as well.

    Those super C's are gas hogs!! And they have always seemed over priced. Also our last RV had pass thru storage and now our current RV doesn't and I never realized how much we would miss the pass thru storage.

    A half bath in that unit is a total waist of space.

    GCWR is the Gross COMBINED Weight Rating. Combined = fully loaded rig + the weight of the trailer or towed vehicle.

    Hmm DEF up front Diesel in the back? so at the truck stop i need to fill my diesel then back up for DEF? that seems odd, Unless you can fill DEF first, that just seems weird to me
