Running a restaurant isn't easy, and can take it's toll on your health. This video shows that it's not only the business that can be run into the ground.
I didn’t know Billy from Handlebar died, and it breaks my heart knowing how much he just wanted to give his wife a child and be able to afford to support his family 😢
For Alan Saffron, his entire episode was one massive lie. Apparently the entire family has a history of making up back stories for themselves for attention and to cash in on. You can find several people who dug into the entire family and found out that their backstory in the episode was a complete lie that they made up for the show. I don't think Kitchen Nightmares was aware of it at the time but they definitely were looking to milk some fame out of the show.
Safron is a well-known mob here in Aussie. His son, who's on KN, was 100% accurate about his dad's story. I'm not sure about everything else, but yes, most people know who Safron was.
My Dad is 80 and in failing health. My Mom is 72 and has struggles of her own. I would do anything on Earth to help either of them if they needed it. My point is that I can't imagine not having them in my life. People just need to be kind and show love to their loved ones while they can!
More often than not restaurants end up going under after kitchen nightmares. It's not the fault of the show, by the time the establishments apply for the show, they are that far gone that often the show is a final cash grab (They get paid to be on the show) and a desperate last ditched effort to turn a failing business around. But there is only so much that can be done to fix a place in the time the show has, especially when there is usually deeper underlying reasons as to why it is failing in the first place. A lick of paint and a new menu written by the KN team looks great for camera, but isn't sustainable once the tv hype wear off (a lot of them were past the point of no return before the episode made it to air). How many people can completely change their ways after a week or two of consultation amongst the distraction of a pop up tv film crew?
Dee Snider of The Twisted Sisters. lmfao Obviously before your time so it wouldn't be fair to hold it against you. Thanks for the laugh and the informative update.
