Dr. Daniels spoke about revolution in his opening comments. How long have we been taking about it, and it's related word liberation? What value do these words really have? Can we really be free of the impact of the actions of others? How effective have any revolution been, given the state and condition of the world, as to the relationship we have with each other. The word "Reset", is another, but a new term that many have been using, in different ways, but when was any previous state of humanity, or us as a group, even been adequate for us to return to? Revolutions mostly do what the word suggest. They bring back around, what it was supposed to replace - mainly the need for many powerful weapons, to ensure the changes remain in place. This is not the kind of change that is needed. A global peace-dividend, and a global fair economic system would be humanity giving itself reparation. We surely needed it as a whole, because of the historic inhumanity we have inflicted on each other. We the U.S. ,would do ourselves well, to give us ourselves a domestic peace -dividend, and we as a group, the same on the community level. Many of our communities, are like war-zones. Reparations cannot heal us. It can only repay an unpaid debt. To suggest otherwise, is to deny reality, or just attempt to mislead people. Reparations in any form, will not solve all of our problems. We do far too much to ourselves to make our situation worst. I don't know which is more likely to be effectively addressed. Just the discussion of reparations has been haphazard. Need I mention the state of fracturing that we as a group, have been in, in last 50 years at least. One speaker mentioned our disunity, but no one has a solution for it. This reiterates the fact that reparations can only repay a debt.
