      I second this question. New methodology arrives so often. Being able to see what actually sticks is so much more useful than the “I just got this and love it! 5 Stars!” Reviews.

    Side note: I also didn't like lined paper for taking notes back in the day. What I found good was using "engineering" paper (graph grid on one side) and wrote on the back (the grid sort of shows through without being obstructive); it is a soothing green color paper that lulls you into thinking all is well with your writing.

      Yay for meeting another non-lined note taker Allan! I love the idea of engineering paper. I used architecture grid paper lolll I think there's something there about having the grid without it being obstructive

    Thanks for this video. Trying to get this new Neo Smartpen N2 going. Don't want to lean on you for support, of course, but what is their current status on support...or they latest you saw? They seem to have fizzled somewhat. The products seem abandoned. Do you know of a community of users that are getting by the best they can amid the dust of an abandoned company...that seems to have product sales on autopilot until the last of the inventory is gone? Thanks!

    Hi Vicky, thank you for your videos on Obsidian and on methods to organise knowledge. QUESTION: have you considered using the app "Good Notes 6" with you iPad? I am considering to go with that option for taking manual handwriting digital notes, transcribe them with that App and from there (Good Notes 6) I would transfer my them (somehow?) to Obsidian to distilate and interrelate them for study and future references. If you have an opinion on this approach, please let me know. Thank you very much! 🙂(from Madrid, Spain)

    Hi Vicky! Because of your videos, I'm interested in learning more mental models and frameworks. 😀 What further readings and learning resources do you suggest?

    • @VickyZhaoBEEAMP
      @VickyZhaoBEEAMP  2 роки тому +2

      Heyyyy!! You can always start with Shane Parrish and his blog Farnam Street! Lots of models listed there (and in book format) though it can be hard to use at times because it remains somewhat abstract. I would also get Poor Charlie's Almanack if you want to read the models OG Charles Munger use. The way Munger talks about the models can be more cryptic because he want to encourage thinking for yourself, but because of that, you end up making a lot of unexpected connections. Otherwise, I'm also creating a beta database of Money Models, based off of successful people and their mental models. It's still in the works, but if you're interested I can include you in the beta group for feedback :D

    I came upon this product today! I’ve been having problems searching on my traditionally written notes that it takes a long time for me to be able to find the what I am looking for. And sometimes I get restless when I don’t find them . 🥲 The traditional method is not specifically helpful when there’s an upcoming exam as I don’t have the luxury to search.
    I was wondering if the transcripts are done and saved automatically?
