I made one! It turned out perfect. I made mine a little smaller. Your tutorial was very well done. You did a great job! I have seen others doing a similar pattern, but the pattern didn’t work into the cone shape. Just an idea/question - someone recommended using jute twine instead of yarn for durability I used the twine & I was thinking of putting my polyfill in a plastic bag to protect it from the elements. Thanks again!!
Wonderful! In my opinion the poly-fil dries quicker on its own. You can’t prevent some water from getting into the plastic bag and it will hold the moisture in the poly-fil and cause mold. Or you could stuff it with just plastic bags and no Poly-fil. 😃
I make mine with grocery store bags and stuff with the scraps and bags that don't work. They aren't covered and I never have issues. Have had them hanging year round for a few years.
Depending on if you crochet the smaller version like in the video, or go with the original size as written in the pattern. Also on what your tension style is. I used just under a skein for the larger one and about half a skein for the smaller version. Hope this helped. 😁
Wasp nest. I researched and found that both have the same color and shape, so it should work to keep both away. 😀 I haven’t seen neither wasps nor yellow jackets around my decoys this year.

Did you hang this outside where it gets wet? How did it do??
It has been out in the elements since spring and the sun dries it out in no time. ☀️ 😀
