- Hi guys! It's been soOo long since I've done a clubbing makeup look, so I wanted to do a little throwback in the spirit of the new Charlie's Angels movie :) It's also a chatty get ready with me, so I hope you enjoy!

Honestly it really is refreshing to watch your videos you aren’t caught up in the drama of the beauty community you seem so genuine and kind and the fact that you show:talk about your insecurities is amazing because it’s relatable and it brings some sort of comfort knowing that these people that we see as perfect on social platforms are “normal” and instead of constantly putting out a “perfect” image you are just real. Which is like I said refreshing. 💕 and well appreciated !

I love that you haven’t switched to trend/expensive makeup! It seems like in the beauty world there’s a new product launch every week so it’s really cool to see a youtuber use affordable products that are tried and true, instead of all the new beauty that’s out there 😌

Oh Lauren your clubbing grwm used to be my favourite, especially the ones with your friends. At the time I used to get ready for the club too... Well let's say that things have changed, even if I'm only 24 it feels like ages ago. Well, actually, I'm going to the club tonight for Halloween so this throwback is just about right 😘
YAY I love these GRWM videos and it totally took me back to when I watched you in your clubbing days. Also, I really appreciate that you refuse to answer questions about the pill and tell everyone to talk to their doctors...I feel like so many influencers give advice on things like that when it could be dangerous. So thank you!

Honestly can say lauren was the first UA-camr I ever subscribed to when I was like 18/19.. Was so into all the make up videos and the grwm’s. I’m 24 now.. and still love her content especially the cooking and plant videos. She’s the ONLY UA-camr’s makeup videos I watch because tbh I’m not that into them anymore BUT I think she’s so real and down to earth AND that’s what makes me wanna watch them. It’s so relatable to think back to my clubbing days vs now when I’m in a more comfortable and secure place in my life. Keep being real lauren because there’s not many youtubers like
you left 💕
The biggest thing I've changed in 5 years is that I've completely gotten rid of my makeup and focused solely on skincare. It's crazy because it's actually boosted my confidence being able to go to special events and whatnot without makeup when I used to heavily rely on it to feel good about myself. My skin is happy and people have noticed it :)
I was never insecure about my stretch marks, I always accepted it as part of my nature, so it makes me sad to hear when there are women who hate their body for this.. im happy to hear that you now accept them because it's natural!
Also, i used to wear foundation a lot! And every time i was going out i used to do full face of makeup. Now i wear makeup to embrace my features!
same goes for tanning. i don't mind being super white (im a ginger) but having people EVERYWHERE on social media making drama about having to tan because they look so disgustingly pale and stuff like that all the time makes me wonder sometimes, do they think that way when they see me? and i mean like, almost every influencer fake tans and makes being pale a bad thing..
Thank you for taking the time to talk about body image and self love. So many people struggle with confidence issues because of physical appearance, myself included. It makes me feel so much better to hear someone who I have always thought is so beautiful and perfect has the same feelings as me. It definitely opens my eyes to how corrupt the current beauty standards are. Loved this video!

I don’t use eyeliner anymore, or contour, or excessive amounts of concealer. I do my eyebrows different now too( thank god!)
Product I've used for years: aqueous cream as moisturizer. I've tried so many other moisturizers and always go back to good ol aqueous cream. Sometimes the best things are inexpensive.

I can relate to this sooooo much! After having my daughter I had soooo many stretch marks that I refused to show my stomach to anyone for years! I still have trouble loving my body but I am trying hard in order to show my daughter to love herself as well. ❤️

Something I used to do (really not do) was not wear blush and now I pack that ish on I LOVE it☺️
the biggest changes in my makeup is probably not wearing concealer anymore! i used to have really bad skin and i would try and cover the bumps with so much concealer and i realized it only caught the light even more. i actually find now it's better to wear less and it show you have acne than trying to cover it up, i do think it makes it look worse. i still love foundation though but i only wear a pea sized amount. otherwise i still love doing the same makeup i did in my teens i just can't be bothered as much anymore haha. but it's just amazing how you instinctively know what looks good on you the first time to you do makeup. i wouldn't change most things i do back then even though i know more now. i still love the same eyeliner, same eyeshadows colours etc

I stopped using foundation entirely. I used to wear full-face makeup but then started getting my skin done and seeing a professional and killed all of my acne and faded my scars. Now, I just do my eyebrows, eyeliner, and mascara. Sometimes eyeshadow and lipstick if I'm doing something. Super cool!

I still love makeup but I just don’t buy much anymore, probably because I barely go out these days. So much more into skincare because I can do it in my pjs!!!!

She's 26. I'm turning 33 tomorrow and I've been watching her since she's like 19, 20... Lauren, I'd beat you with some Jimmy Choos! Lol you're 26!!!! Start worrying when you're close to your 70s! Haha. Look at Jennifer Aniston! She's 50 and looks and lives better than MANY 20 SOMETHING year old girls.
You're very very young, it's just we stop enjoying clubbing like before, and we change what we do to have fun! It's like with alcohol, we refine our taste, when we're young we drink cheap beer, wine and all, when we're older we get more expensive alcohol hahaha. That doesn't mean you're getting old, you're getting experienced!
It's like Joey's eyes on Friends, his eyes have too much wisdom in them, not wrinkles! Hahahaha ok, it's, 5 am in South America.

Hahaha I totally understand where you're coming from, but I'm absolutely joking when I say I'm getting old! I always make fun of myself that way. I know I'm still young, 30 is still young in my eyes too! X
Highly disagree that Jennifer Aniston looks better than 'most 20 something year olds' she's aged TERRIBLY but hey, each to their own.
A better comparison would be Jennifer LOPEZ.

Thank you thank you thank you for speaking up about the responsibility we all have to be more conscientious of the things that come out of our mouths. There has been an upsurge of the short-sighted and self-indulgent trend to "do what you want as long as you're not hurting anyone." Of course this is a wonderful sentiment, but it is also impossible to predict how someone is going to react to what you are putting out there, and lazy to assume that just because you are happy with your choices, that implicitly you are not harming anyone. On the one hand, it is our own responsibility to filter and interpret the information exposed to us, but this is often overridden by our instincts towards authority. And whilst "influencers" are the obvious new wave of authority (I mean, it's in the name), it happens day-to-day from older to younger sibling, from teacher to student, from peer-to-peer, literally anyone we designate to be thriving more than we. What I'm trying to say is that it's a two-way street, and we should all be more conscious of the messages we send because we can be someone's "authority" without knowing it, just as much as we should be more conscious of who we choose to be our authority and the kind of twisted power we are handing over when we ask them to dictate our lives for us.
I have been lurking in and out of your channel for years, Lauren, and to see you grow and speak about our underlying issues so candidly yet thoughtfully is so uplifting. You are an example of someone who is self-aware enough to accept their authority and use it kindly. Congratulations on your podcast and everything that you have cultivated. xxx

I used to make my entire face matte, I didn’t wear highlighter because I wanted to be completely shine free, and I packed on as much foundation as I wanted. Now, I’m all about the natural, dewy makeup and I do not want to be matte

It's really admirable that you realize that you are not qualified giving people medical advice. There are too many influencers that carelessly do, with the best intentions I'm sure, but it doesn't take away the fact that what works for them as an individual can hurt another individual.

One thing I majorly changed about my makeup routine is that I rarely use a setting powder anymore. Or primer. Or setting spray. Foundation just seems to last longer if I leave it be by itself, even though I have oily skin

I didn't know about the freckles laser thing! I used to HATE my freckles and steal my mums makeup when I was in year 7 to cover them up (horribly might I add). Now it's such a trend to have freckles that I find myself drawing them back on when my concealer covers them up! So dumb how beauty standards change and force you to see yourself in different ways.

Omg I just realized I've been following you since I was like 16 or 17 I'm 22 now, thats awesome! Seeing that you've evolved and grown and become such a successful women! One thing I've definitely changes is one I don't cake on foundation on everyday and I stopped using a winged eyeliner, I haven't used an eyeliner in like over a year. Nobody has time to get a perfect wing everyday for work specially now that a have a 1 year old lol! Sending lots of love all the way from Mexico. 💞💞😘😘

coconut is easily one of my least favorite fruits. so weird and chalky and just ew.
I used to cake my face with powder to get it as matte as possible and now I like less powder and even a dewy finish.

The one thing that has changed for my makeup routine now is that i will ALWAYS wear spf underneath. Although i like the finish of foundation without spf, want to take better carr of my skin now that im in my 30s.
