I'm a bass player and wanted to get more gain for my solos. I decided to go with this Boss pedal and I'm glad I did! Not only for boosting your signal,it does give a very articulate/warm sound with nice options for tone and character your signal. I don't have a tube bass amp and probably won't need it anymore with this pedal.
The feedback effect is the icing on the cake. It's a great booster. When I boost my direct drive it's tone heaven. The best booster on the market. It has the mid boost which has my sg sustaining for days and thats without using the feedback feature. And don't let the boss name make you think it sounds fizzy or transistory. It has a suprisingly rich tone. If you want to get that amp cranked to the bejusus tone at high or low volume look no further.Rock on!
So, due to this video, I ran out and bought an FB-2. And while it's lame that the booster comes on with the feedbacker, it's still an awesome pedal. I use it to end every song in wild feedback. But I can also use this pedal to get sustain on a long note when I need it. Like on the song Come Together. The outro solo is filled with long notes. I use the feedbacker to hold the notes if it appears any note will die out too soon. And it works perfectly for it.
thank you sir , always a pleasure i have one of each feedbacker distortion, feedbacker boost, there pair together and a looper is verging on noisecore in the finest way.
This is a reissue of an old pedal, super feedbacker & distortion. Pretty cool pedal if you want synthetic feedback. Seems to maybe even have been improved.
This thing with a gate in front of it has long been my secret weapon. Makes my DSL sound HUGE for metal. Boss don’t make them anymore either. Watch the appreciate in value...

@@user-ellievator You're wrong. I have it and it wont work on keyboards. Try the super distortion feedbacker or the feedbacker distortion. That one should work on keyboards.

@@user-ellievator I understand. Many keyboards like my roland DS have a feedback effect that sounds better with a keyboard patch than a boss pedal. But for a boss pedal I think the df2 or the fB2, same pedal different name , will be the one that works. Also maybe the digitech freqout.
cool idea, its not really like a feed-backing amp more like a fernandes sustainer, without the spooky possessed string vibe. Getting the right feed back from and amp can be tricky depending on the situation, room, set up etc. Gonna have to give it a go!
can it feedback a clean signal? still running through an amp. if not, what is the minimum gain needed in your signal to sustain a "as clean as possible" tone to feedback/sustain?
is this thing a great boost or just so-so as a boost with an added feature? sounds like it could be transparent but at some settings it sounds harsh and not true to the original tone.......
I have a distortion, and an overdrive to boost my distortion. Is it okay to add this booster pedal? because I always leave my overdrive and distortion on and I want another booster for my lead tone.
Does the feedback work with software too? That would be great! I noticed also that you didn't show the feedback with the clean settings. That's one thing I love about the sustainer pickup. Thanks!
Very interesting in buying one of these from you guys. Does it allow you to just use it for a feedbacker without having to add extra boost? I already have a very high gain sound but just want to use it for feedback. No extra boost needed. Thanks

Yes, you can play over the feedback feature. This isn't a digital freeze effect, it is similiar to a wah in a very resonant position.
this pedal combined with a dd-3 doing nothing but warping creates some really effective noise
Yes, just leave the Boost at unity, the Tone in the middle and the Character to flat. This won't add any boost but still allows feedback.

Excellent demo. You did really nice comparisons of the sounds, with and without the pedal engaged, and the range of applications of the pedal.

where would this go in the signal path ??
wherever your typical distortion/ Overdrive goes.
In The beginning
I personally put it first just to give my clean sound a small punch
Jamie Cruickshank - Same as natural feedback: out of the guitar, which means at 1st place in the chain.
How effective is this for a good solo boost say running along side a fairly dirtied up blues driver on the clean channel??
Is this in the fx loop or in the front? :-/
