D & J Drives series is probably the best tour of Barbados' towns, villages and landscape I have seen so far. Your coverage provides more detail and precise commentary than other vlogs I have watched. I like the fact that you do not just stick to the coastal roads and main streets like most other vlogs. D & J Drives takes the viewer road by road exploring the area. The viewer get a sense of being there and experiencing what you are describing. At end of each tour ,the viewer comes away with a captivating visual experience of Barbados.
Nice video. You passed both my grandparents homes. I grew-up in pilgrim road and you passed directly infront of my childhood home. Loved it. Nice to see the place is still in good shape. Will visit again shortly. Blessings.
I am a Jamaican who was in Barbados for a year and when I was there Sam Lord's Castle was in ruins, it's great to see it rebuilt. Also I watch the whole video and it brings back great memories I have of Barbados. I remember most of the drive from 8 years ago. ❤ the video and I love Barbados very much. I can remember lots of Friday nights in Oistens
Thank you very much for showing this video , i am from st.. Martin st. Philip and to see my old school and church bring back so much memories , i reside in the USA now
My late grandmother who I never met was from Rices St Philip. She was christened in St Martins Church. I visited Barbados for the first time in 1999 and stayed in St Philip. It’s my favourite parish. I never met her she died in 1946 in Black Rock Hospital. Leaving my Mother at 15yrs..
I so love what you do. My mother was from Barbados but I have never been. With your driving I feel like I know the place. Your voice by the way is wonderful. Keep up the good work. 😊❤
Lovely video. I am a Jamaican who visit Barbados every year for twenty one years. I was so excited to learn names of places I passed for years. Lovely video Bajans should be proud of their country. I just love Barbados🏖️👙🌴💃
Thanks for the drive. I have enjoyed Barbados every time we have gone there. We usually stayed somewhere nere Rockly Beach. We like the fact that Barbados is so pleasant, people are so friendly, and the island is so safe.
Beloved brother this video is beautiful . It's 35 minutes after midnight and I had to watch the intire video until its finished. The person who ask you to make this educational video deserves an award. This video is beautiful. I also clicked like and subscribed for you.( Blessings from Canada)
Good night I hope you're doing well. I wanted to tell you how much I love taking these trips with you. Since I moved back home I really haven't seen a lot of my country. And then I found you and it seems like im there. Thanks so much. You keep taking us on these rides with you. Very much appreciated .have a wonderful night ❤🌙
I am so grateful to you for making these videos. My only concern is that Barbados does not seem to have any crosswalks. I do not remember if they had them when I lived there 30 years ago but they do need them.
Absolutely beautiful video!! Hope to see more! Could I kindly ask of you, could you consider driving around St Philip as there are such beautiful homes there that would be lovely!!! I know I’m asking again I don’t want to appear cheeky and it’s absolutely fine if want to give someone else a chance❤ Thanks again for the video!!😀
@@DJDrives5018 Hi, thanks for your reply! I’m not totally familiar with the specific areas of St Phillip but I am familiar with Atlantic Shores , the homes around that area are very nice. Anywhere you recommend would be just fine! Thank you!
I enjoyed your drive i especially like how the videographer panned wide so it felt like you were sitting in the car. My last visit was from 2016-07-07. My only suggestion is that the commentator tor tour travels with a Bajan guide that is familiar with some of the historical aspects of the tour. A.(Arlington) DaCosta Edwards Primary School. He was the political representative for St. Andrew for many years and used to ne a Minister in DLP government under Errol Walton Barrow.
Thanks for your videos “Driving in Barbados”. If I may, can I make a couple of suggestions? While i like your commentary while driving, you should widen your camera lens for us to receive a more panoramic view especially when driving through the countryside, and when possible, reduce speed when you notice a structure of importance …i liked when you made double circles around the Roundabouts to increase points of interest. Thanks and keep up the great work.
Thanks for feedback. We realised much later but could not correct it at that time. Look out for our tour of Bridgetown where the correct information will be shared. Apologies for the error.
Bridgetown Barbados. Folks just walking peacefully. While Nassau The Bahamas we are under a travel advisorie. As crime and violence have us looking around constantly over our shoulders, back and forth. 😔😏.
There is crime in Barbados also, but that's not usually highlighted. Crimes are solved quickly here and everyone understands tourism is the driver of the economy. The focus in Barbados is about stamping out crime
What kind if camera do you have that's frozen straight and can't turn left to right? I'm out of town and would prefer to see what's going on than you telling me that the Garrison Savannah is on the left. Keep the videos coming.
PLEASE DO A DRIVE IN THE BANK HALL TO INCLUDE WINDSOR, BARRACK, BUCKINGHAM, KING GEORGE ROAD IF YOU CAN INCLUDE THE POLICE BAND BARRACKS THANKS D AND J GOOD TOUR GUIDES BLESSINGS
@@MeMyself-c2p The WHOLE capital is sadly rough. No investment has been made in Bridgetown. Decades ago the capital was a place to visit and shop when it had department stores like Harrisons and Da Costa.

Nice viedo but you must show more of historic places and buildings more as you travel. Keep up good work.
Well done. Thanks

Hi...I had the same Question as 6991...The name of that Double din set?
Is there not a Welch, in St John near to Bath?
Hi...that was Golden Square Freedom Park and not Heroes Square. The latter is actually close to Parliment Buildings

Bridgetown looks run down 😢
Always look run down no improvement born in 2001 growing up and still run down
It is! since my first visit to Barbados in 1999 it looks rough no where like a capital of a country should look!!
Sound foolish. Every country capital looks a little rough in some parts
😂😅

This certainly shows up the very bad road conditions
Barbados is currently undergoing a major road rehabilitation project. Soon from now, all roads will be repaired

Is Sam Lords Castle a good place to get Ghonoreera

I agree, Bridgetown look run down and it don't look attractive.
When you are a UNESCO designated location, unfortunately you cannot make too many dramatic changes to the old traditional structures.
