Despite watercolours being the more traditional medium for botanical art, Arundhati has used poster paints here, making for a very bold piece. It's in a style not too dissimilar to Japanese prints; decorative yet vividly clear. It's marvellous.
The cannonball tree itself is truly remarkable. It's huge fruit resemble cannonballs in size and shape. When ripe, they fall to the ground and crack open to reveal blue-green pulp and seeds. You wouldn't want to be standing under it for long!
