trenton FD is at the smallest its ever been, there is always mutual aid involved after the 2nd alarm. 2nd alarms clear out every firehouse in the city. 20 years ago, they had 9 engines, and 4 ladders with 4 and 5 man crews. Now they have 7 engines, with 3 ladders, with 3 man crews on pumpers. AND while now adding several hundred EMS runs as well. Its ridiculous
Same everywhere bro, we could cover normal structure fire with1 company which was 2 engines 1 truck and a rescue in 1984, now it takes 4 companies and mutual aid to cover the city. And we had more fires then. But 6 on a engine , 4 on truck and 4 on rescue. Now it’s 3 on engine 2 on truck and 3 on rescue. No sense in it, but that’s when we could a actually get at it and fight the fire, before safety officers and White helmet picket fences out front.
Heard upstairs apartments were empty and needed alot of work, curious to know how it started. Obviously the store was closed at night. Owner will probably get a nice fat insurance check.
It definitely looks like it started on the 2nd floor and burned upwards. It could have been caused by a number of things but the most likely it's a rodent chewing through a wire; causing a short and igniting flammable insulating material or other materials nearby. It's getting colder at night and rodents are seeking shelter from the elements. So if you have a rodent in your house, you actually have at least 7-10 more around that you don't see and you need to handle it right away.
I Google it and the upper floors were either storage or empty and the first floor was some sort of dollar store that sold cheap furniture, guess what the NJ state prison is around the corner, so with that said the fire could have been set intentionally or set by a homeless person trying to stay warm, it is 700 block not 600
@@elizabethcherry920 just because the state prison is around the corner you think it was on purpose or by a homeless person ?! Yeah I can tell your definitely racist and closed minded person
Normal occurrence, guess you are not from the northeastern seaboard of the U.S. Would love to know how this alarms makes this great department a bunch of hacks? BY ALL MEANS PLEASE EXPLAIN, WE'RE WAITING.

@@elizabethcherry920 Yeah! Get it right God Damn It! Good there there's a fire station right on that block, just a few doors down.🙂

Awesome video 😊👌
I guess that Dollar Store 😚was having a Clearance Sale!
That was a total loss. Building didn’t stand a chance
Now they can build new and charge more!😏
@@LoneLee2022 yes but you know it's highly likely won't build anything there. Most of the time they just bulldoze it and call it a day.

That building has been vacant for over 40 years!😘
I would say at least 30 year lol. The office store was still in business until the 1990's
