Always appreciate the attention to detail and great feedback. Thanks again, Karl! Great vid.
My pleasure!
GT Omega, would it be worth it to offer a HD integrated upgrade? (Slightly longer profile and 2 legs)
Love mine, had my prime rig 3 weeks, I got the rig, the mouse matt and single monitor stand. All because of your videos Karl, keep up the great work. GT omega we’re really helpful too, as someone visually impaired (plus quite a large investment) they got me some dimensions that weren’t available on their website. 😊
Great to hear!
Can u give me the dimension of the monitor stand?
I absolutely love your videos being new to Sim racing. It’s cool to have someone who knows what they’re talking about.
Also, I did have a question. What size monitor should I buy? I will eventually upgrade to the three monitor set up but currently I just got the one mount. curious what three screen sizes would work
Thanks mate!
If going triples you want them all to be the same size and as big as you can up to about 55" as a maximum IME.
Thanks Karl, your discount code gave me 20 bucks off! Also, watching your videos now reminds me of the good times of being in lockdown and watching what sim gear to buy or what playseat challenge mods to try out 😂
Karl, thank you very much for another great review.
Here is a little info for people who are going to buy the "Stand Alone" one. 3x 43" barely fits when you move vesa plates outwards. Of course dimensions of the TV important (mine Sony X80J ~38 inch width). (Talking based on my CAD design)
Good point is, in the future if one wants to go bigger screen, e.g 3x48 OLEDs or 3x50s it will be easy to buy frames and modify it. Center will be allright, just need 2 40-frames for sides. e.g 2x longer sides, 2x support for outside which will be around 100$ or more depending on quality. Also we can strengthen it since it is compatible with anything.
I was gonna buy my own aluminum frame and build my own TV stand but it is impossible to match GT Omega's price. As they mention on the web page this is the last sim monitor stand we will ever need.
Great info! Yeah when I built my own late last year it was way expensive for aly profile here in the UK!
when we move to bigger house soon this is going to be added to my new rig build list... top vid again and thank you
I recently got into sim racing and stumbled across your channel. You have really helped me understand more about sim racing. Thank you, keep up the great work and you got your self a new sub
Thanks mate appreciate that! :) Welcome to the worlds most expensive hobby! lol
Had the same issue adding the SIMlab integrated monitor stand to gt omega prime with the DD1. Instead of vertical I turned those 2 side monitor arms horizontal and it works great. I'd need show you a pic to explain it properly. I think superGT did something similar which is where I got the idea
These stands are very interesting. Thanks for the Indepth look at them.
No worries!
Need these stocked at the Australian GT Omega store.
Yet guilty again. You made me buy the monitor stand, just saying...I hope GtOmega is reading this. Thank you for the discount btw :)
I will let you know how it goes with a 55" oled on
lol Awesome! :)
@@aaronegro Considering this for a 55" TV, has the stand been working for you?
he never let us know
Sorry folks, I didn't see the original comment. The single one did work well with the LG 55 and 65 inch OLED TV's. Now... I got the triple mount with 32" monitors now.
Love the socks.
Great video. Love the Luigi socks!
Cheers mate!
love your vuds keep up the good work .the big question is how do you keep the carpet so clean?
No shoes in the house and regular hoovering! lol
My missus buys my sock as well.
lol She actually did!
this review makes me buy the triple screen stand :) gonna buy it this week because my new rig arrives next week :P
Excellent!
Karl not sure mention before but once you have your monitors on you are not going to see the corner brackets as all hidden behind your equipment I would have thought.
If you had your rig in a place you could walk around that would be the only thing
That was my first thought too but they are so cheap would have been nice to have them included.
Looks like you air-con unit was playing accordian to accompany you during the time lapse >_< lol
Also, you could potentially use one set of uprights for the monitor mount and another one for your wheel base (albeit at the expense of more Ali profile) the result would be functionally closer to your current pre-production rig.
Note: VESA mounts are sized by width and height, between holes, in mm. eg. 100x100, 400x200, etc.
It does! lol
I think I'll use the standalone stand, nice and easy.
Yeah they are, I don't know why I didn't measure it that way, but at least we have some measurements! lol
Thx for another discount code, single monitor stand out of stock at mo so gone for there cheaper one at £80
I get your point in regard to the tv. I’d assume that most keen sim racers would use monitors rather than TVs.
I just bought the prime rig and I’m really pleased with it. I used the gt omega art monitor stand and it’s brilliant for £70 sits right on top of the DD1
Good videos. Keep it up.
Give me a sub if you like 😂. Don’t ask you don’t get 🤦🏽♂️
Would buy the whole kit if it was silver instead of black. What happens when I want to add just one accessory or extra diy accessory on a piece of aluminum profile. It’s not going to match or I’ll have to paint the new aluminum profile black which I’m sure with the gaps doesn’t end well as well as trying to make adjustments to a painted black piece. Its just going to peel right off.
Yes mate this is all indeed true!
🎉
Would the integrated monitor mount work well with the prime with the DD1 wheelbase plates? I have a 49 ultrawide that I want to get close and snug to the DD1. Cheers!
Hi @Karl Gosling, Awesome videos you put out especially the detail you put in this one. I have ordered and will be shipped shortly the GT Omega Prime XL RS and as you know things are normally out of stock. But I wanted the Prime Integrated Monitor Mount but that's SOLD OUT. Would you have any other Chassis mounted monitor mounts you could suggest for the GT Omega Prime? I am not a fan of the free standing mounts. Hope you can help me with some suggestions as I can't seem to find any alternatives and I really don't want to wait for the Prime Integrated Monitor Mount to come in stock as who knows when that will happen. BTW I am in the US so alternatives here would be nice :) Thanks.
I have no experience with any others mate sorry, but anything that fit to aly profile and looks sturdy should be ok as there's nothing to them really.
Does it come with any Monitor Mount Stand Off? as I bought 3 G3223D Monitors
I wish you would review the stand alone art omega stand. I wanna get it with my playseat challenge
Hi anyone know if these VESA mounts come with spacers or anything my curverd monitors mount is kind of sunk into the back of the monitor
By forfeiting its horizontal feet, that single standalone stand could seemingly bolt towards the front of your rig for your 55" screen.
I was thinking just that! :)
In that case, seems like the standalone is a better buy to maintain the most mounting options?
Karl use the uprights off the other rig to mount the 50 to it
They are silver and the new rig is black, will trigger my inner OCD! lol!
@@KarlGosling could give them a lick of paint to match.
Hey :) What is your latest racing cockpit recommendation ( solid - no flex etc. ) for around 500-600€ ?
was thinking to get an playseat, but they all seem to have to a lot of flex.. so should i get a Omega GT art or Prime ? Is it worth the money ?
A good medium ground is the Titan, but if you can afford a Prime then that will be the lst cockpit you ever buy, as with any aly profile rig really mate :)
Can the vesa plates be rotated 90 degrees? I ask because my monitors have a 200x100 pattern with 200 across and 100 down.
You can but I'm pretty certain they are square so it will make no difference?!
@@KarlGosling No the bolt pattern on my monitors is rectangular ie. 200x100. If you look closely at the vesa plate the 200x100 holes are vertical and I would need them to be horizontal...hence my question.
does that work with thundermaster wheels and 28 inch monitor?
I know this is a bit late to the party, but I was putting off getting one of these, trying to think of a work around for mounting a big TV so it cleared the wheel. I got a prime last year and have been using their old Portable Monitor Stand with a 43" TV. I am planning to use that somewhere else and was thinking of using this mount for the 43" TV. I use VR so the "monitor" is used for Xbox and TV and starting off before I dive into VR. I was thinking it should be possible to use the top mounts in a vertical position, both raising the tv upwards and back (forwards or away from the wheel driver). This should solve your mounting problem. I had put off ordering one of these for this reason but looking at your video I am pretty sure my idea should work. My 43" is a cheapo job and very light, weighs less than all my other (smaller) TVs and monitors, it even has the smallest VESA mount of them all at only 100mm. I've ordered the mount, so will be trying it is a couple of days. It worked; I have my 43" TV mounted clear of the frame and a couple of inches away and a few more up from the wheel base. Gotta do some tweaking but all is solid and clear of the wheel. Only problem is at the moment I hav had to move my fan from next to the wheel, but as I said, I need to tweak it all a bit.
Do you know if the DOF Seat Mover M2 (2 axis) is compatible with the GT Omega Prime cockpit?
I fitted it to mine with no problems so yes!
Does somebody know the dimension of the stand when its mounted? its sadly not featured on there website
does that monitor mount work with 28 inch monitor?
not available on the Aussie site atm
Great video!! Do you think PRIME Quad Upgrade Kit mounted on top of the Single Monitor Stand can hold a 42inch 20kg monitor?
Great to see the options, I ordered last week the rig and stand alone, I tookt the stand alone based on seeing the P1X recommends not to use the integrated with anything above 27". Two questions I have for you though how different is the production pedal mount plate compared to the pre production one, did they improve it or is it still thin and possible to flex?? I am toying with buying 2 4080 and making my own mount. And do you have any insight into the supposed F1 conversation kit? I assume they are gonna make some addons parts to be similar to the next level rig but I can't find anything on this.
The final pedal plate is the same mate, it definitely could be thicker but I don't have any flex issues using my Fanatec V3's, fitted correctly of course.
Sorry I have no info at all about the F1 kit, I didn't even know it was a thing?! lol
Hey Phil! Happy to inform you we have recently upgraded our Pedal Plate, we took a lot of the feedback from customers and it is now our standard plate in most regions currently (UK, EU & US) with CA & AU soon to be added.
I'm looking to get the integrated one. Was told that the vibration of the DD Wheel base can vibrate the monitors and that was bad for them. Have you ran into any trouble or heard of a known issue like that? I really like the Integrated look and not have another set of aluminum posts next to the rig. The integrated look is just so clean.
It will vibrate them for sure, so I suppose this could be bad long term (cracking solder joints etc) but I have not experienced it personally.
If I have an integrated monitor mount will bass shakers destroy my monitor?
No mate.
Hi Karl , hope your ok, I know the video is 2 years in but just got the triple with the addons , silly question does the monitor mounting screws come in the box?
Karl, at 15:05, you chatted about the free-standing monitor stand. I am assembling this stand right now and wanted to know how far back you secured the vertical posts from the rear of the floor posts. Did you just flush the L bracket with the floor post's back edge? The assembly guide does not provide any sort of measurement on how far back or forward the vertical post should be installed on the floor post. Thanks!
from what i see the brackets are lined up with the back of the feet , need as much foot forward for counter balance as mentioned at 23:00
Does it fit 3x 32" ? i am thinking on buying it but there is not information on GT omega side that indicates the max screen size for triples. Nice review !
Yes easily mate, I think 42's are the max.
What size monitor do you recommend?
Do the cockpit mounted triples shake/vibrate when using with a strong wheel and bass shakers/butkickers?
That will depend on the mount, if it's decent (as these are) then no.
@@KarlGosling Thanks Karl, wanna drop a note to thank you for your content, really appreciate it and enjoy it, keep up the great work!
I'm going to ask what I think is probably a stupid question. Is there any reason to buy one brand's independent monitor stand vs the brand that makes your simkit? If it's all aluminim extrusion, seems like there couldn't possibly be.
Nope no reason at all.
How’s the hardware? Does GTOmega provide tnuts with the spring balls in them?
Hardware mate? T Nuts are the leaf spring type.
Well done mate good review........
However I cannot get a curved 32" Samsung G7 monitor to work with the integrated stand and a logitech pro base & wheel..............Any ideas, waiting on call from GT Omega, but might have to return the whole rig at this rate 😔
You measured the diagonal on the standalone monitor mount and you said it was 600 mm could you measure the side mounts for the triple setup what are their diagonal measurements?
I no longer have this setup mate sorry.
Is it possible that this direct mount would fit on a next level gt elite rig??
Do you have a preference between an integrated vs standalone monitor mount?
Standalone gives infinite adjustment.
What casters did you use on your rig?
Just some I found on ebay or Amazon, I have a video fitting them and there's a link in the description.
Hi Karl. Im thinking of getting the prime lite cockpit. Do u reckon integrated triple screen mount would be ok on the lite version?
Yeah for sure.
Karl what do you think is the best way to mount some speakers to the stand alone monitor stand.
Just get a nice big pair of floor standing speakers mate! 😉
@@KarlGosling I’ll check it out thank you kind sir.
can I put a 55 inch in the integrated monitor single stand? thanks
No mate, I think it would contact.
Awesome review! I'm considering the standalone triple monitor stand for my rig. Are you able to tell me what the max width is with the side monitor arms swiveled inwards to support 3 x 32" monitors for that surround effect?
I'm not mate I don't have this setup anymore sorry.
Would the monitor mount? Fit on the prime lite cockpit
All Prime accessories fit the Lite too yes mate!
Good Video. Still thinking if i should get a 42" Oled or a 48" Oled for the integrated single monitor stand. What would you suggest? 🙂
Bigger is better IMO mate, you can see more of everything.
Had the triple stand 2 weeks now i and i just give i cant for love nor money get them to line up.
It takes ages and lots of tiny adjustments!
Old, but sim lab sell adjustable vesa mounts for £70odd for three
Very easy to adjust the monitors in all directions
Anyone think the single monitors integrated stand will fit a 49 inch curved on it? I don’t see why not but wanted to see if anyone has done it before
I have the triple and my triple 27” seem to small for it
@@Zackery_B so I should be fine with a single 49” curved?
Would the single monitor stand hold the 57" ultrawide?
If it has a standard VESA bolt pattern yes.
@@KarlGosling no worries cheers for the reply
What size TV is that on there in the test?
5 seconds after I asked you answered in the video lol
lol
I ordered this, how does this hold up with 3 monitors and with motion rig and i used you code thanks for letting me save couple bucks.
Unless your monitors are very small I wouldn't want to be throwing them around with a motion rig, would take a fair bit of custom work to secure them properly to each other and the rig.
@@KarlGosling no bigger the 40in but probably do 34in monitors
4:20 😂😂😂😂
looks like you would be sat very close to the screen tbh
It should be just behind (or on top) your wheel base as with any setup.
ah fair enough! thanks for the reply :) @@KarlGosling
Hey Karl! Thank you so much for all your great product reviews! Question: how did you get those side arms level. (Mine droop quite a bit.) Thanks again!
Thanks mate!
From what I remember I just placed them where I needed them and tightened the bolts and brackets, still solid to this day.
@@KarlGosling Yes, same here once I discovered the center stand hadn’t been vertically leveled. I’d had a 55 inch Samsung Q85AA OLED on it for a couple years and really wanted the triple screen experience (but didn’t have cash or space for triple 55s) so went down to 32 inch. I must have never vertically leveled that tv and didn’t realize it bc it didn’t matter as much since it was just one screen. Anyway, thanks for getting back to me on this and thanks to GT Omega for the terrific product! Cheers!
