The black really does look nice. I didn't really give it much thought as it looked very traditional compared to Schuyler's other colors. After seeing your video I'm defiantly tempted to order a Canterbury or a Quentel in black.
I'm torn between the Schuyler Treveris ESV vs. the Crossway Heirloom Heritage ESV. Both look so stunning! Really hard to choose only one premium Bible (which is all I can get for now).
I would say the biggest difference is the Treveris feels a lot more like a readers Bible. It isn’t very easy to locate verses at the beginning of paragraphs, at least not quickly for preaching. The heritage is probably my favorite text block for reading. It has margins on the outside which have been perfect for writing notes for my daughter who I’ll give it to one day. The Treveris is BEAUTIFUL, but I’ve found it not as functionally useful as the Heritage. If you can only get one for now and you want something more well-rounded for daily use, my suggestion would be the heritage. But that’s just me! Obviously you won’t have the selection of colors, and no red accents in the text. The font is a bit smaller too (which I prefer). I hope that helps a bit, friend! Have a great day!
@@fatherofarrowsDefinitely helped and thank you so much brother for that detailed explanation! Now I'm leaning Heritage, I do miss the red accents, if only the Heritage had red accents, it'd be perfection! Heritage still looks awesome though. By the way, I saw your Schuyler PSQ review, thanks for that great review too! If you have a moment and don't mind me asking please, what do you think about the Schuyler PSQ compared to the Heirloom Heritage (in either ESV or CSB, I'm usually ESV but recently finding the CSB really awesome too)? Thanks in advance! :)
is it tricky finding verses? I really kind of like it. the Full size Quentels seem to bother my eyes with the bigger font. I might just go personal size Canterbury. 😂 I have a ESV PSQ and just don't like similar things.
I agree with you, the quentel font is too big for me as well. I wish they were all 10pt like the NLT and RSV. The verses are a bit tricky to find when teaching, but it’s a great reading experience!
Schuyler Bibles are really nice, just wish that would make them with 38gsm paper. There paper is is just way to thin for me, always feel like I’m going to rip pages. Great Video man. God bless!
I love the green! I don’t love the brown liner as much. I kind of wish the ribbons were green as well. I think it’s fantastic for reading, I do think the placement of the verse numbers makes it a bit difficult for teaching. Overall it’s a beautiful Bible! The size is awesome. It may be a bit thicker than the legacy, but it’s shorter and less wide!
@@fatherofarrows The ribbons are green on the dark green edition. 👍 Yeah. I am wondering how it will work for me in preaching/teaching, but I think it might be easier to use in one way since the verse numbers aren’t placed within the paragraph. Of course, knowing where a verse ends/begins shouldn’t be an issue anyway in preaching, although I suppose it could be in a teaching setting with discussion/question. And yes, I’m curious to compare the weight/size between the two. I do like the idea of a slightly larger and bolder font in the Treveris. I’m likely not too far from font size being a concern. Lol
Good review. I hope you do more. If it helps you read and grow in the Word that's great! I don't know about the background music. thinking no. Of course that's your call. Just an opinion.
It seems like this Bible has pretty mixed reviews. Some people love it, bro there can’t get on board with the layout. I think I’ve gone back and forth between both extremes. 😂
@@fatherofarrows Yeah. I wasn’t big on it when I first came across it a while back, but I’ve got a green one preordered now…to hopefully “replace” my Legacy as my main.
Just bought a green edition to match my ESV Quentel and ESV PSQ!!! Great review!
That’s great! I seriously thought about the green… it’s beautiful!
Also, thank you for pointing out the awesome worth of the content! We are so blessed to have God's word so easily available to us.
Subscribed, btw.
Thank you so much for the review, it was perfect! The size comparison was helpful. Just ordered the same one!
I wonder who bought this from you

Me pasa lo mismo😅
I got one of these a few months back and it's been incredible!
Great review! God bless you and your family!!!
Great look at this Bible! I agree that it would be great to have a medium size Quentel.
Amen. Brother.
I have a blue Quentel..NASB. And happy to find your review
Channel.
Would love to see a size comparison to the ESV Legacy!
It’s a little smaller than the Legacy

I agree. I have a feeling they'll start making a Mid-size Quentel soon. I am going with full because I don't like the Treveris layout.
Lovely Bible and a great review!

Nice. I ended up going with the green. Already have a black Legacy, and the black almost seemed like too much red for me. 😎

I have the gray one and I love it do you still have this Bible
Looking at picking this exact one up!
How is it helpful to have all the text black?
Wait? Are these smaller than the full sized quentel?!
Yes! In between the PSQ and the full size. So nice 🙌🏼
Drew, do the books of the Bible start on their own page or do they start on the same page as the end of the previous book?
I generally like 2 columns but this IS a beautiful BIBLE.
Is PSQ about 8.5 font? And readable.?

I don't know if I like this much

Man why can’t they make these with the 36 GSM.
Probably because they are single column and not double column.
Font? Cost.?
10
Right now, 210+
I really don’t know why they don’t just put a quality heavy duty zip on that yap
That would be cool!
Please, no
