It absolutely is full of history!! We like going on a weekend where there's a festival like the MudBug Festival we attended while on this video. We went back this year for the 2nd MudBug festival as well and had a blast. We really like to stay in the historical bed and breakfast type places. Thanks for commenting!!
Unfortunately, the Eola suffered a fire a number of years ago and has been closed for a long time. There've been at least a couple of people over the years who said they were going to fix it up and reopen it, but it hasn't happened yet. The last time I was there was also about 25-30 years ago on a school field trip where we toured around downtown and had lunch there.
We went back in the early 90's if I had to guess. It was quite a while back. Unfortunate that it had a fire!! Thanks for the comments as we really didn't know why it shut down. Thanks again!!
Hi! My friends and I are coming from Lafourche Parish in south LA to visit Natchez. What is an address close to where we can start the trace? We want to go on it at least a few miles. Jeanette/Galliano, Louisiana
The Trace can be driven from Cemetary Road to Pine Ridge Road to Steam Plant Road to Rt. 61.Turn left and look for the Official Southern entrance of the Trace.
If you visited Natchez Mississippi why was nothing mentioned about the African American Holocaust? Where so many black men Where starved to death. I enjoyed the channel but there should have been something said about that part of Natchez history.
As we planned our trip, this didn't even come up, so it didn't make it on the video. I can assure you it wasn't intentionally excluded. Thanks for you comment Brenda!!
It’s impossible to give such detailed history of a small town in a very short, independent film tour. Maybe you’d like to make your own video of interesting history on Natchez. Those of us who love history could gain even more from all of the different insights that people have knowledge of. Please don’t blame the messenger for negating your interests. Share what you know!
@William Davis I am aware that the videos have to be timely, and as you said I, to, love history, that's why I wanted some highlights of all of Natchez' historical information. the good bad, and the ugly. We are all knowledgeable about the past Jim Crow, slavery, segregation, etc. All though that time in our history has faded away in time, but Natchez was a part of that past also.I was hoping nothing would be omitted, even if there were only a portion shared in the video. Thanks for responding positively, I'm interested in all history, If you have information about Bodica and the Icnie people I would be interested in seeing that video.
Best video ever .
Thanks!! I really appreciate that. We try to go to Natchez every couple of years as it really is a pretty cool place to spend a long weekend!!
Great video! Natchez is a wonderful place with the nicest people you'll ever meet!
Couldn't agree more! We love going there as well!!! Thanks for checking out the video!!
Looks like a nice historical place to visit.

I honestly don't know an address close to the start of the Trace but there are signs throughout Natchez that gives directions.
