Tiny newborn kitten found alone in a box waking up purring

- This tiny kitten was found dumped in a box all alone. We're estimating he's about a week old but only weighs what a newborn should. He was severely dehydrated and cold when found and it took subQ fluids and hourly feedings for a day to get him feeling better.
Here he's waking up from a nap on my chest (the warmth and heartbeat make abandoned babies feel safe). So far he's doing great and a bottle baby foster is caring for him. His little purr is the sweetest sound!
Imagine falling asleep cold, alone, and starving, and then waking up being fed, cared for, and warm. It must be wonderful for them to sense the nightmare of their first week of life will be forgotten and they will have years of being loved and pampered ahead of them.

I would do the same thing for this little feller here. Keep it close by my side and give it all the love it needs.
I hear that, Ian! It really warms the heart to know these little tykes are gonna be cared for even when they are scared initially.

A farmer bought me a kitten eyes barley opened I fell in love with him. He is 21 years old now. He saved my mom and I from a house fire . I saved him he saved us. Love is love. Now we take care of each other. Buddy is my Buddy.

@@daviclemons6910the cat probably smelled the smoke, and was meowing in distress. It's like when mothers can tell the difference between baby cries. Our pets are capable of a lot more, than we give them credit for. There was a very famous cat in an old folks home, that could predict people's death a few weeks ahead. The cat layed on whoever was gonna pass.

This sweet boy is doing great! He has moved to a new foster, has gotten a lot stronger and grown quite a bit. As soon as he reaches 2lbs he will be ready to get neutered and go up for adoption. ♥️

My adult cats do it too. A soft blanket on top of me, and the cats start kneading and purring :)
I have heard most adult cats who have been taken too early from their mother knead, though I'm sure many do anyway
they do that to nurse. its trying to nurse
@@teijaflink2226i see it like sucking your thumb or other oral fixation habits. it could be something to do with mom and separation anxiety deep down but it's also just a self soothing thing that varies with personality. very affectionate & sensitive cats (and people) seem to do it !

If one listens closely, one can hear kitty clearly answering to the question at the very end. "Are you hungry?" The answer was, "yeah," "yeah," and an enthusiastic, "hungry!"

I got a kitten once who was only 2 days old. I carried him in my bra like this. Skin on skin is so important. Bur I remember when he started "ticking". At first I was so confused I had no idea. Then I was overwhelmed that I started crying cause I realized he was starting to purr. It was such a milestone. Thank you for sharing. Those little moments are precious.

This precious kitten will be forever grateful for your kindness and love. I used to do this when my kittens were babies, too. It's a moment beyond the measure of words to hear them purr close to your heart.
How could anyone leave that poor baby alone to freeze and die? Thank goodness for loving people who took this baby in and kept him warm.

He's gonna be a cuddle bug. I have a special needs kitty, we cuddled from day one. She's such a cuddle bug now. She doesn't leave alone. She follows me everywhere, even lays on my chest in the bath.

He was all ready for the milk, warming up his pumping paws! This is the best thing ever! Taking care of a kitten still with closed eyes and totally dependent on Mommy! Soooo cute!

I saved an abandoned 8 day old kitten. I had no idea what to do! Thank God the seasoned veterinarian I brought him to showed me exactly what to do. He lived a happy chubby life for 18 years.

That little sweetheart is blessed to have such a loving home! It's hard to believe our Pwessie (that's her in my profile pic) just turned 6 yrs old! She was maybe a week old at most, with her eyes still closed, when we found her, abandoned and cold in our tractor shed. She's now a completely spoiled diva, and has several younger "siblings" that we've taken in as well. It's well worth the time, effort, and love you give them to see them grow to love and trust you, and watch their own unique personalities develop. That's why I'll NEVER get tired of watching videos like these! God's abundant blessings to all who've ever taken in a helpless, innocent little life like this kitten!😻🙏
