  • We buy a big truck to haul the Teams big trailer, but first we play with the crane before we convert it to a trailer hauler.

Check your spring count. Often the crane side will have additional springs for the added weight.

I don't know Eric, me thinks the autocrane would be a nice addition to the top of the gooseneck trailer. Would need to engineer some outriggers but it sure could be useful.

Or mount it to the front of the flat bed then you can load the truck by itself and if need be then transfer the load to the trailer

I want one of these 4x4 kodiaks. Im pretty jealous. Power is nice, but cant compete with size. Getting rid of a service is hard. Makes trail repairs so much easier, but i know you need the flat bed. Also if you're going to sand hollow you gotta do a recovery with matts off road recovery.

Dont forget to add rear facing LED's for extra lighting, As others have said, If going to Sand Hollow, meet up with Matt's off road, aka Winder towing And Paul & Michelle from Fab Rats ( one of Matt's best friends )

My kicker did the same thing many times check engine heat .My truck was setup for northern operations --- 210 thermostats so working it hard unless dead of winter --32 degrees would throw into limp mode or just plane ass quit anywhere and the dash looking like a Christmas tree..To change stats 1500 $ and pull most of front bib,ac pump ,water lines ,ECT.ect.ect and 75.00 pair stats and 2days down time plus recode ecu to accept new coolant temps to 180 and test again more later . ---cowboy

Why aren't you adding that crane to the wrecker and turning it into a mini rotator?!!!
I'd be keeping that crane no matter what and putting it on a removable trailer/flat bed mount to keep the usefulness of it. The skid steer would be right for moving it on and off as needed.

Awesome new rig buddy!! I just baught my 6th 1 Ton 4x4 Chevy but this one was a fire truck that would haul water to the fields when needed!! So it has under a 100,000 miles on it and has the 4 speed 205 combo and the front Dana 60!! Oh and this one is a SRW and not the DRW!! Eric if you are looking for another wrecker I have one that is also the 4x4 Dana 60 205 4speed combo?? The wrecker unit is a 480 Holme unit and the two big winches work very good and have been taken care of also!!!

Not to run them down there good trucks had a top kick with a picker watch the air box is junk and put a fass fuel system on it for extra filtering and lift pump high pressure injector fail is 15k and the electrical issues were hard to take after a while maybe not as harsh as climate as Northern AB I also fabricated a front passenger air bag mourning bracket put full air ride on made a world of difference drive it nice there not to bad

The IMT is (in my opinion) the Rolls Royce of mass produced service bodies. It should fetch decent money. You're in Cdl class with just the 3500 pulling the gooseneck (at least in the state of Texas) and you'll be way into it with the bigger rig.
