I love the Becca be the light palette. I am on the fair side and it’s perfect for me. I’m 45 years old so I don’t want crazy highlight. I love the natural glow that it gives me. It seems like when everybody’s reviewing highlighters they have to be these BAM in your face highlights. There are lot of us who do not want that crazy BAM highlight. I see people in real life trying to pull off these IG or UA-cam highlight looks and it doesn’t look so great to me. I think people will look back on that trend and wonder why? Like we did with blue eyeshadow in the 80’s. We are thankful there wasn’t the internet for the 80’s trends to haunt us forever lol
Lisa Locke I just bought this pallet for that very reason. It’s not marketed as a highlight. It’s supposed to give you a soft natural glow. I’m so excited to try this. Love the video ❤️

I love many of these products. The foundation has quickly become one of my day to day foundations. The Too Faced concealer does have a slight satin finish, which I like because it doesn't look dry and cakey on the skin and it is easy to mattify with a touch of powder. The Shape Tape you don't have much room to work with, like you do this. That Rimmel palette is nothing like the other magnify shadows, which I didn't like at all. It blends beautifully and has great pigment (excellent dupe for the Heat palette.) You reviewed some goodies! Your skin looks gorgeous!

I want to give you big kudos on actually trying the products for awhile before coming back to us. I find first impressions to be some of the videos I dislike the most. They provide me with absolutely no valuable information by the end. It’s not an accurate depiction if a person is going to really enjoy the product. You’re the queen of reviews and are just absolutely fantastic at providing very helpful information in all your videos. Your eye look is so beautiful, that palette looks really promising. I might need to check it out, nice alternative to naked heat.
I don't need instant gratification the moment something is released. I'd rather know how you really feel about the products and your reasons for your review. Totally fine with first impressions but this one example: I got a sample of Too Faced Born This Way foundation and tried it this morning. It looked so good and I was like crap, I don't like TF as a brand and I don't want to pay $39 for this foundation. By 4pm, though, I had little breakouts on my chin and next to my mouth - the first place my skin freaks out when it doesn't like something. I am actually glad because now I know this isn't right for me and I didn't spend the impulse money. 😀
Yes you are right about the TF concealer. It has an ever so slight sheen which I like for under eye and subtle highlighting ... but I definitely don’t want any sort of sheen when I’m concealing acne or dark spots on the skin. For that reason I don’t find it to be as multi purpose as marketed. Every concealer is multi purpose if you want to buy 3-4 shades: a highlight, contour, a skin tone match to spot conceal, and maybe a fourth if you don’t want your under eye to be as light as your highlight. No one has time for that!

I loved your concealer optional foundation video, and the blush from the Be A Light palette made me wonder are there highlighter optional blushes for those who want a glow but don't want to highlight? I think that'd be a cool concept for a video since highlighting has blown up these past few years.
I use the same exact pencil under my eyes and even in the waterline, then I go over it with a deeper shade just like you did. I love these pencils, I also have the green one. I am so thrilled that they are coming out with more colors like these. Urban Decay has so many shades, but I cannot spend $20 on an eyeliner pencil. I need to buy backups of these in case they discontinue them.
One pump of that foundation is enough for me. It’s my new favorite. The staying power is good. My only issue is that there’s little white specks in it, but they brush off easily.
Yes, the born this way concealer does have a bit more of a slightly hydrating, satin finish. That is exactly why I'm so in love with it. In my experience, the shape tape concealer, while it does have awesome coverage, is way too matte and drying under the eyes. This born this way concealer has the same great coverage, but has just a bit more moisture to it. I think they did a good job of finding that middle ground of a satin finish because it isn't too greasy or oily that it would slip around, but it also isn't dry like shape tape. I'm truly enjoying the look of this concealer under my eyes. To me, having to powder it really doesn't mean much because you won't catch me applying either a foundation or concealer without at least lightly powdering so it is a win win for me. :)
By far one of the prettiest eyeshadow looks ever... I think this look is my new fave!!!!

I love love love the Rimmel Magnifeyes spice edition. No fallout great blendability and superb pigmentation. I watched Zabrena use this and Naked Heat palette and we had to guess which one which was which. Everyone thought the Rimmel one was the UD palette.

The higher end mascaras that I love are Superhero and Lights Camera Lashes. The small $12 size of Superhero works just fine for me and I get a couple of Tarte's LCL every year when they're on sale for $10 at Ulta. Then I always keep a drugstore mascara on hand.

Almay tlc is a good medium coverage but buildable to full and water proof

and that sponge is just hilarious, and but it did seem to suck up a lot more of the coverage than your average sponge... Regardless of speed, I neeeeed all my skin to be hidden
And another video where I'm just going to point out TooFaced shade range sucks and LOADS of people can't get a foundation light enough even though Born This Way has been out nearly 2years (Cloud released in USA this week, no UK release date), let alone a concealer light enough to spot conceal so forget a brightening highlighting concealer

The real techniques body sponge with the dermablend body makeup and translucent powder 🙌🏼. I’ve tried that sponge on my face and felt it was too cumbersome. But for anyone using body makeup it’s life changing!

The new Too Faced concealer definitely is more hydrating than the Tarte Shape Tape and if you don't set it - I do find that it can get dewy throughout the day. However when i use it with the Too FAced peach perfect matte loose powder - the combo is magic. It won't crease on me AT ALL when i use that powder with that concealer.

The Maybeline magic eye eraser would be a great dupe for the Stilla. There is also a brighten only shade which is the best.

I looove the Born This Way concealer! I really like the finish of the concealer. I set it with a tiny bit of powder, but even before powder I don't find it to be too satin. I don't wear any other foundation so the finish blends into my skin better than 100% matte concealers like Shape Tape. It also has more coverage than the Tarte Creaseless Concealer.
I love that you try and test products for days or weeks before giving your opinion. I really trust your opinion on products.

The Kush Mascara is better once it starts to dry out a little. The fresh tubes are still really oily, but as it gets a little more dry it becomes more waxy which makes the lashes seem fuller and it adds more length.

Hi Emily. Love your videos! A while back you send you thought that the viseart amethyst palette was perhaps the best purple eyeshadow palette and I've had it in my Sephora bag for quite some time. Emily, I remember you mentioning the Elf lash curler years ago on your channel. I have recently rediscovered that little gem. Oh. My. Word. Why did I ever stop using that curler?! Your lashes are voluminous compared to mine. No exaggeration! And using the Elf curler has changed my life😜 It’s amazing how much better I feel about my makeup now. Walmart $2 or $3🙌🏼
I have that Rimmel palette and I haven’t been able to put it down! So happy I did not spend the money on the UD Heat! It is beautiful! Glad you like it too.
I like the initial look I get with the Kush mascara, but it doesn't last anywhere near as long as most other mascaras. Lash Paradise is still my favorite by far.
