The misplaced blade hole is a shame. A HUGE miss…I agree. “High and tight” is good for a nice haircut but not so much on a flicking hole. TRM could even omit the hole entirely, and opt for a deeper/longer inset logo. It would look great, and still provide enough lip to thumb of finger flick. Not unlike the new logo design that Curtiss Knives did on his restyled F3 knives. Dave Curtiss omitted the flicking hole all together, and it looks great! Nice review!
Nope. It’s just a new model. There is a new Shadow in the works apparently. The original Shadow has been retired. So we’re waiting to see what the Shadow 2 will look like.
Yet another company misses with an ambi lock but no way to setup the clip on the other side. This knife isn’t particularly beautiful on either side so I don’t wanna hear about keeping the show side clean either, maybe don’t have two screws down the middle of the knife on the show side then. It’s not some exotic material it’s g10! For this reason only TRM will never get my consideration on this knife, especially for the money it commands, drill and tap the two damn holes for the clip for people who want to carry left side!
@@brentmellinger1798 relax dude, if you bothered to simply look at their website you'd see that they have left handed configurations that will post up on release. No point in a swappable pocket clip when they're willing to make dedicated lefty versions.
@@napalmholiday9708yea a dedicated “left handed” option of a crossbar lock is silly when the lock is already ambi. I carry a knife in both left and right pockets so I’d like to just be able to swap the clip instead of buy two of the same knife, makes a lot more sense to just drill the two holes to me.

Been trying to get one of these for 2 ish months. $250 retail and actual drop on 9/10. Love TRM.
I played with the prototype, it was good because it was an unsharpened blade. More weight. I knew once it was ground it wound be too light.
I like that its suprisingly smaller than i imagined itd be... but notbeing able to flick it open easily is defintately a massive minus

I believe it was the Shadow they discontinued. I think this model is kind of like their replacement to the Shadow or at least it appears so.
