Second review of yours I've commented on in a few days, so time to subscribe. After deliberating way too long on my HT3550 replacement between this, the 3560, and the 4550i, and I finally pulled the trigger on the 2060. Your review was a huge help. Contrast, color, and input lag were the primary features I was looking at, and the image looks so great on this one that I can't justify 3x the price for the 4550. Of all the things I noticed when I upgraded to 4k, resolution was the least impactful. HDR, color gamut, and access to 4K+Atmos streams were way more important, and this checks all those boxes with aplomb. The contrast, vibrant color, and 3D brightness seem like a big step up over the 3550, and I'm looking forward to the LED lamp benefits. Can't wait to get it, and I'll update with my thoughts when I do.

I'm really interested in this projector or and HT3560/X3000i. I'm leaning toward this one for the reasons you mentioned above and i'm not sure if I want to move up to 4k. What has your experience been like?
@@davidlichtenauer3722 I ended up going with the x3000i. The HT2060 had some great strengths, but also some drawbacks. After using it, the benefits of LED were immediately obvious. Next-level color brightness, excellent HDR, and fast power on. The black levels and contrast were incredible for the price. However, the color banding is really a problem, and it's uncertain whether Benq will be able to fix it, and whether the fix will be available without shipping it back to Benq.
I also found that I missed 4k a lot more than I thought I would. Color gamut and HDR are the most important aspects of UHD, but the resolution really adds to the texture and realism.
The x3000i is excellent, but the black levels are quite a bit higher than the HT2060, more on par with the ht3550. It maintains all the benefits of LED, with even better color accuracy and brightness. That brightness makes for excellent contrast in most scenes, but it's noticeably more gray in dark scenes than the 2060. If black levels are your top priority, the ht2060 is unbeatable within 3 times its price. But 4k is a major enhancement, and the overall picture quality of the x3000i is the big winner in my opinion.
Also keep in mind that the x3000i is not at all flexible for mounting. It has a large 110% lens offset and no lens shift. Make sure you can mount it exactly where you need it.
Isn't going from the 3550 to 2060 a downgrade in picture quality?
@@SnakeDoctor5104 It's a downgrade in resolution. It's an upgrade in color, contrast, and black levels. Just depends on your priorities.

Good afternoon! Does BENQ 2060 need to be serviced at a service center and how often? I mean, is it tedious to change thermal paste?
Is the color banding issue (in 24fps) fixed? did you observe it?
How would you compare the gaming performance on this vs the x3000i vs the Epson LS12000? How does the 4LED DLP stack up against the Laser 3LCD in terms of motion resolution?
I would choose the epson all day if you can afford it. Otherwise the BenQ x3000i is very close but its missing 4k 120hz (only 1080p 120hz) and motorized lens shift. Hope you like and sub to the channel
Does the image quality go down when you keystone? I don’t have a room to put the projector in the middle of the screen. If I were to buy one I would probably put it 10-11 feet away from the screen and 5-6 feet on the corner from the center of the screen. Is this projector going to do me any good if I place it to where I mentioned? Thanks.
I dont see a lot of image quality issues but maybe some loss of focus around the outside edges of the image. Mainly keystone increases the input latency for gaming
The only problem I have with DLP projectors is that they bother my eyes when watching movies. There’s no way of fixing it. I have to buy a LCD projector. Does anyone know a good gaming LCD projector?
Bought a BenQ TH575, for $530 w/tax. Really like the overall results. Researched for about 3 days, thinking I was going $1000-$1500 4K...

I know this projector can receive HDR signals, but what about Dolby vision? Will it output those as HDR?
Most of the new movies on Netflix are Dolby vision... So with this projector, would they still play as HDR?

Picked up the ht3560 on Tuesday. Nice image but the screen is has smuggy artifacts that destroy the experience. Benq has to repair it out of the box.
That is too bad but it happens sometimes. Hopefully BenQ is quite to repair or replace. Please like and sub!
Is filmmaker mode great?
Film maker mode really does look fantastic on this projector out of the box yes !
