Rob reminds me of when I was going on a bunch of job interviews one after another. There got to a point where I knew exactly what I wanted to say, what my stock responses were, and exactly what the interviewer wanted to hear. He's definitely got his story nailed down at this point. You know exactly what he are about to say, but that doesn't make him an impostor at all. We have to understand that his mission was one of the most challenging missions in the world, where even Obama had an interview on 60 minutes and clearly stated that it involved years of research on how to catch him, explaining different raid plans of the building and backup plans. They were highly professional, meticulous, and everything had to be super detailed without any mistakes. The emotions he experienced were immense, and a well-thought-out plan leads to a consistently similar story. But the world is curious, and they invite him to all sorts of podcasts, and I think it's normal to start telling the story at some point in the same way. But again, this doesn't make him an impostor. And also, because it happened in such a unique way, it's normal to remember it in the same manner, recalling the fact that all the mission details were very strict. Poet in a Paper Bag. You are clearly one very sick puppy, and by the look of your use of language you are not only not a poet, but you have no hope of ever being one. What a total simpleton you very obviously are. Do you remember the movie Red Dragon? You might recall this conversation below, ... see if you can pick which of the two characters you very clearly are: Will Graham : I thought you might enjoy the challenge. Find out if you're smarter than the person I'm looking for. Hannibal Lecter : Then, by implication, you think you're smarter than I am, since it was you who caught me. Will Graham : No, I know I'm not smarter than you. Hannibal Lecter : Then how did you catch me? Will Graham : You had... disadvantages. Hannibal Lecter : What disadvantages? Will Graham : You're insane. Now I know that there were TWO characters, and clearly you are nuts and wouldn’t have got the correct answer out of the two options available, so I will let you know! YOU Poet in a Paper Bag are the one that’s insane! A quick question for you, do you ever go outdoors, talk to others, enjoy your environment (or perhaps even look for work?! - now THERE’S an idea, even if you are unemployable!) or are you the classic “ Keyboard Warrior” who never bathes, has unkempt hair, eats junk food, weighs 300 pounds, never leaves your bedroom, has never spoken directly to any female other than your frightened mother and has an IQ of 17? You are an ill educated simpleton and a sociopathic pathetic loser PiaPB .... JC Rocks! Thank god you live in America and the rest of the world has someone (other than Donald Trump) to laugh at!

That story about the mom who jumped to her death makes it really easy to kill any enemy combatant involved in 911...much respect to hard men who kill on our behalf..
Yeah, go into another country and kill millions e.g. Iraq or tens of thousands in Afghan, then when they retaliate and kill a few thousand of yours make sure to say some delusional BS.
Prince Usama bin laden played no role in 9/11. FBI spent 7 years looking for evidence and found none. 9/11 was 100% an inside job. There are some people who think that the Pentagon building explosion, is proof it was inside job. They understand the Pentagon has 2700 private offices and the 1 office that was investigating the theft of $3.80 from Pentagon budgets was impacted by the projectile on 9/1. $3.80? My mistake. $3.8 Trillion dollars missing. Just a rounding error there. 35 accountants and investigators were killed in that 1 office. The evidence was 100% destroyed and that investigation was closed. Imagine that. Rinse and repeat for the multiple criminal white collar fraud investigations and the evidence, all housed in the WTC towers. Did you know there was a Super Secret USAF E4B plane circling OVER the Pentagon when it was impacted ? CNN and many others filmed it and made those films public.
Everyone should just be quiet. You have no idea what happened. BOTTOM LINE: The guy was a member of Seal Team 6 (D.E.V.G.R.U.). He was on the Phillips Mission, He was on the O.B.L Raid, He rescued, or was at least par t of the rescue, which found Marcus Luttrell (The Lone Survivor), and recovered the bodies of his teammates. On that Mission ("Red Wings II": Rescue Mission for Operation Red Wings) which lasted just over three weeks, sixteen more spec ops operators, eight U.S. Navy SEALs and eight U.S. Army Special Operations aviators on board, were killed. Rob O'neill was on another chopper, then in the woods, in the mountains, for over a week, looking for Luttrell. Oh and he was with Chris Kyle in Ramadi, for that showdown. His book by the way was approved by the Pentagon. So honestly, I have read, and heard so much Monday morning quarterbacking and second guessing, I feel sick. No matter how you shake it, (and I do not agree with much of how he did this, and his politics or whatever, but the dude is a real dude who did real things) the dude is a bad ass, who should at least be respected. I do not, and will not ever understand second guessing, borderline decisions in the fog of war. And disrespecting dudes who served for YEARS, their whole lives. Okay rant over!!!!

@@northendrocco2844 Robert O'Neill claims that he was the one who shot and killed UBL (Usama/Osama Bin Ladin). In his book, "The Operator" he says that he and another Seal went to I think the 3rd floor where UBL was. According to O'Neill, the other seal tackled two females who he thought had suicide vests on while O'Neill shot UBL in the head. I assume that the other Seal was Mark Owen who also wrote a book called, "No Easy Day". In his book, he says that he also shot UBL but did not kill him. He doesn't say who shot him because he doesn't believe any one man should get credit for the kill. Whether or not O'Neill shot him they are all hero's but I don't think anyone man should get credit for killing him.
Ooh-fucking-yah. Born 1996, here. Millenials for the most part don't appreciate the realism and the right now actions of American military. My friends are basically a joke when compared to a trident wearing SEAL.
conqururfear why would two tier 1 operators be arguing over who killed UBL if he was already dead? I am very familiar with conspiracies but in no way do I think this mission was a conspiracy.

You realize that Google employees are likely in the top 10% of human mental acuity? You'd be lucky to have someone in your tribe that was smart enough to discover fire, farming, metal smelting or the concept of the wheel for you if we were all forced back into a stone-age society. The SEAL would be the best warrior of the tribe, but the modern day Google employee would be the shaman/wise-man. Physicality lasts into late middle age, but wisdom and intellect carries through a lifetime (without interference from neurodegenerative diseases).
These guys really are the best of the best. Considering the civilians that died at the hand of a target in order to accept your own death for the gravity of the mission isn't something 99.9% of the population is willing to do.
they lost a war to a group of villagers that had NO AIR FORCE OR NAVY and it took them 20+ years and trillions of dollars to do it. You dumb motherfuckers would have George Orwell turning over in his grave.
That's not really a distinction you can make considering American Military special, operations all have different jobs they perform, etc... The Seals don't do the same thing as the Green Berets. Army Rangers do different stuff than all of those. So you can't really say one is better than the other, besides the top dogs, Operational Detachment Delta aka Delta Force. They are at the top with Devgru below them(Seal Team 6). Sorry 🤷♂️
The only reason I can see for a thumbs down would be this was a brutal interview to watch. Never met O’Neil, but in all the other interviews and interactions, he’s as easy going as it gets. It’s like the crowd was waiting for something they could relate to. Game of Thrones?
GD right!!!! For the single mother who jumped to her death.... Well said fine Sir. This man is a true hero....in the true sense...not the PC kind being handed out nowadays.
Imagine being such a huge part of national security on the front lines like this legend was and retiring after 16 years. Yet being 4 years shy of the 20 required years and the GOVT you committed your life too denying you full pension retirement. Sickening. This man is such a great guy. Not even speaking of the epic missions and work he did in the field. I am speaking of the job training and placement foundation he founded with his wife to help veteran operators find valuable civilian employment for when they get back to CIV life and their Govt fails to help them live a valuable productive life. This man helps them find purpose and hone the skills into civilian application. Much Bless
That's a good point about not getting a retirement. I know people who after just one enlistment that got medically retired, and not to denigrate what they went through, but I know it wasn't anywhere near as intense as what Special Operations folks go through. I also know some guys that started their career in SF and other Special Operations jobs, did some intense things, then go into the National Guard, do 20 years, and still get a shit retirement because it's not 20 years total of active duty time. I was over 10 years in before I found out how shitty the medical is if you retire from the Guard or Reserve with less than 20 years total active duty time. It made a lot more sense why you see a lot of folks going until 30 years or they force you to retire to help make up the difference. We don't get shit until we're in our 60s. You can now retire after 15, but get less and now the pension is much shittier and congress has basically forced us to make up the difference through essentially a 401K, which the stock market can fuck you over. Glad I'm grandfathered in. I'm less likely now to recommend staying in 20 years to younger folks now--all depends on what job you're doing and what you're trying to get out of a career. But there are a lot of folks that truly earned a retirement before 20 and there are some that have it that don't.
i wonder why he didnt just "phone it in" and become a buds instructor for a few years. you don't have to stay at the tier 1 command forever, you can step down and go back to another team and a guy like him could probably do whatever he wanted
12:59 *Funny, how here he didn't know it because he was in the other helicopter but in the 60 minutes interwiev he explained how HIS helicopter crashed and if it wasn't for his colleague he would fallen out... Also how he "shot" Bin Laden changes in every interwiev.*
I just watched a clip of him with Trump Jr and it just sounded so fishy to me. Not even tryna be that guy but seriously he gives me weird vibes with his stories. The whole “we knew we were gonna die “ things sounds weird to me. He always has these little things like the lady jumping out the building and the guy saying “I hope we don’t crash” . It’s just WEIRD
I believe I can shed some light on that. This guy claimed that he 'killed' a said 9/11 terrorist mastermind who had already died 10 years earlier?🤔 Confirmed in the Pakastani newspapers in December 2001 and was even reported in the NEW YORK TIMES just seven months later. Obama set this up as a re-election stunt,...and nobody even noticed.
The craziest part about it all is he retired 3 years shy of receiving a full military pension. I guess when he shot bin ladin it really didnt matter. Instant millionaire because of his story
Freedom Inc. no one can say for sure expect him and his colleagues but all I can say is that, damn after almost 20 years of service I don’t think it’s crazy for a man to want to leave right after killing the most wanted man on earth. Taking into consideration he’s already had some crazy rides before that alone. He probably knew he had to much to tell that it wouldn’t be worth it to go on another deadly mission or deployment.

I've searched for what his rating was before becoming a SEaL and I haven't found what it was simply because he's 3/4 of the way there to getting his retirement amount of years of service for a pension. I always thought once you've had a rating you could go back and do that other job. Thank You for your service Senior Chief O'Neill. Recently, I just retired ( August 2019 ) from the Air National Guard with 25 years of service included in those years I spent 6 of them with the US Navy.
I’ve heard him say many times they thought they were going to die. I understand they may have faced insurmountable odds, however, I find it odd that these Tier 1 guys didn’t expect to make it back home. I’m not a spec ops team member so I’m sure I’ll never understand that mentality. Hoo-rah! Glad they all returned home safe.
Pakistan’s air defences. Also the fact they are known to be al qaida and taliban sympathisers whilst pretending to be friendlies, it wouldn’t be a stretch to think they knew bin laden was there and would be willing to shoot down helicopters in bound to that location

Yeah, and they're fools for believing it. For starters, the operators who spout this shit about "quiet professionalism" only say it because they had uneventful careers where they have no stories of their own to tell. Next, and most importantly, the top brass only encourages silent professionalism to make their own jobs easier by never having to be called to Capitol Hill to answer for some of the methods special forces use, and the extent of how much of a black budget these units actually receive each year. Shit that would make the public squeamish, and the politicians wanting to start doing further investigation into special forces funding to account for annual spending. The books and speeches given by former SEALs are the individual stories and lived experiences of these men. The govt doesn't own that. I also don't want to hear anything about publicly unmasking revealing our tactics when US special forces groups were doing joint training exercises with Spetsnaz and China up until about 10 years ago, since they were technically our allies during that time. The true danger comes in politicians leaking shit to the press, and embedded turncoats working inside the govt as intelligence operatives for other nations. Guys like Rob O'Neill, Chris Kyle, and Jocko Willink are a net positive for society. You'd have to be the biggest, most brainwashed tool in the world to be the guy who killed Osama bin Laden and remain anonymous for the rest of your life. You *have to* capitalize and monetize that because we know the Navy isn't going to take care of you the rest of your life.
they did a poor job of choosing him as the guy credited with killing OBL. He did a poor job & his story changed a lot over the many times of telling this fairytale. Then again, this could be because he's overall a honest man, so lying about this fairytale didn't come natural to him, since he's not good at lying.
NOT for the disclosure of clandestine seal team 6 info . It only serves one person & endangers team 6 tactics, their families, national security, other team members etc . Proud of his service,....without question . But the team is more important than the one individual.

@poet in a paper bag you better wake up Lmfao not everything is a fuckin conspiracy, dumbass
@poet in a paper bag subordinate little tin soldier? Huh? 🤣
Poet in a Paper Bag.
You are clearly one very sick puppy, and by the look of your use of language you are not only not a poet, but you have no hope of ever being one. What a total simpleton you very obviously are.
Do you remember the movie Red Dragon? You might recall this conversation below, ... see if you can pick which of the two characters you very clearly are:
Will Graham : I thought you might enjoy the challenge.
You are an ill educated simpleton and a sociopathic pathetic loser PiaPB
.... JC Rocks!
Thank god you live in America and the rest of the world has someone (other than Donald Trump) to laugh at!
Great interview. Good book, go an buy it! Those who are bashing google tho, remember you are using their platform by watching the video.
Rob is always a joy to watch!
That guy on the left has seen some &%#$, namely soy chai lattes, avocado toast and kale endive salads.
@Gap Rame Mlon Eusk 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 that was good
Great guy
Why the negativity? You clearly didn't hear what Rob O'Neil talked about at all.
Larry Knowles, you described that guy on the left so perfectly, LMFAO!@#$%
He's actually a CIA Marine Marsoc Navy Seal Army ranger special operations trooper. Only 3 have earned the title. He is Thanos.
Clever clever bloke. Respect from the UK.
That story about the mom who jumped to her death makes it really easy to kill any enemy combatant involved in 911...much respect to hard men who kill on our behalf..
hopefully all those involved in the 911 attacks will come face to face with hell soon. all of them !!!
Yeah, go into another country and kill millions e.g. Iraq or tens of thousands in Afghan, then when they retaliate and kill a few thousand of yours make sure to say some delusional BS.
lol, 911 was done by USA, those 3 buildings were demo'd, takes months to get towers to fall just perfect. So careful what you wish for.
2 Silver Stars and 4 Bronze Stars?!!! I mean what???? Holy shit, hahahaha, wow. Ya but he's a total loser. I mean who are you people. The guy is a badass.... 400+ missions.
I know alot about what you are saying.im a Canadian and super into the American history 9/11 attacks the war in iraq afghan etc.Marcus Luttrell is def one of my idols.can u explain to me why alot of these comments are calling him a liar..??

16 min mark, hands down! GOD BLESS YOU brother!
Rob, Sir you are awesome. Great book, incredible story. Respect.
Stupid SOB---------------. OBL died in 2003
conqururfear why would two tier 1 operators be arguing over who killed UBL if he was already dead? I am very familiar with conspiracies but in no way do I think this mission was a conspiracy.
James Edward we parade UDAY &. QUSAY’s. Heads around like they on a steak SHISkabob,,,, and many other Al Qaeda operatives. That our military killed in the war!!!!!
James Edward all of them except OBL.. OBL has been dead well before May 1, 2011- it’s the BIGGEST SLAP in the face of all time To us and to the victims families...

One thing that is awesome about rob is that he looks like a typical guy you’d see walking down the street. I have a signed book from him and it’s just crazy seeing him look so normal

I agree no one could tell that this a guy is a lethal weapon
Kinda strange that google would let an alpha male in their midst, and a Navy Seal at that.
ROB O'NEILL IS A LIAR
Alpha male my arse he's a conman and a liar
You realize that Google employees are likely in the top 10% of human mental acuity? You'd be lucky to have someone in your tribe that was smart enough to discover fire, farming, metal smelting or the concept of the wheel for you if we were all forced back into a stone-age society. The SEAL would be the best warrior of the tribe, but the modern day Google employee would be the shaman/wise-man. Physicality lasts into late middle age, but wisdom and intellect carries through a lifetime (without interference from neurodegenerative diseases).
There is truth and then there is propaganda, you tell me what this is.
D'yer Maker. I agree.
This is a great interview
These guys really are the best of the best. Considering the civilians that died at the hand of a target in order to accept your own death for the gravity of the mission isn't something 99.9% of the population is willing to do.
they lost a war to a group of villagers that had NO AIR FORCE OR NAVY and it took them 20+ years and trillions of dollars to do it. You dumb motherfuckers would have George Orwell turning over in his grave.
I wonder how many civillians died in iraq/afghanistan.
empty barrels make the most noise. Story is all theater. Prince UBL died in 2001. The story telling will never end.
You are my hero AND Favorit Operator..NAVY SEALS BEST MILITARY SPC OPS IN THE WORLD.. I GONNA BYE YOUR book Soon... You are A very good....

Imagine being such a huge part of national security on the front lines like this legend was and retiring after 16 years. Yet being 4 years shy of the 20 required years and the GOVT you committed your life too denying you full pension retirement. Sickening.
This man is such a great guy. Not even speaking of the epic missions and work he did in the field. I am speaking of the job training and placement foundation he founded with his wife to help veteran operators find valuable civilian employment for when they get back to CIV life and their Govt fails to help them live a valuable productive life. This man helps them find purpose and hone the skills into civilian application.
Much Bless
ua-cam.com/video/f_VQ0CP2S5U/v-deo.html
20 years is 20 years
That's a good point about not getting a retirement.
So what do u think happened?
Maybe you are thinking of the other guy that says he shot bin laden , can you post a link to that interview please?
I was apart of the greatest military teams America ever built - rob O’Neill!
Delta has entered the chat!!
Damn I'm glad that girl broke his heart, this man is a legend
The craziest part about it all is he retired 3 years shy of receiving a full military pension. I guess when he shot bin ladin it really didnt matter. Instant millionaire because of his story
@MfMcmuffin oh I'm sure. But why dedicate 17years to something then quit 3 years prior to a full pension. The medical alone would be worth staying in
I don't think he had many supporters in the military after this.....
@@FreedomInc read his book, he explains why he left. He has a very justified reason.

not one of those questioners started with THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE
So? Many vets don't like to be thanked for their service. Many would rather be told welcome home or were glad you made it home safe or some other remark. They didn't volunteer to be thanked and don't expect to.

I’m not a spec ops team member so I’m sure I’ll never understand that mentality. Hoo-rah! Glad they all returned home safe.
Even Tier 1 guys are susceptible to suicide bombs and booby traps. Also Pakistan shooting down their choppers.
