Morning pawpaw , you sure have a beautiful collection of cast iron and have it all cleaned and re-seasoned and ready to use!! I think your idea of drawing lots to pick an item at a time so everyone who wants some of your cast iron that your ready to let go of find it’s new home ! We 4 kids did that when my parents both past and we had a huge 5 bedroom farm house and a double sided 2 story barn we had to go through , boy was that a job , we just went room to room and we picked items we wanted and if more than one wanted an item we drew lots for it ! It was a huge amount of things to go through and at the end of each day whatever was left over from that day we took to Salvation Army or GoodWill ! I’m hoping I don’t leave that kind of problem for my son to have to deal with , I know I will try not to !! I had begged momma many times to give things to people she wanted to have them or to at least write their name on a piece of paper and tape it to the item or write it down in a notebook so we would know what she wanted done with items , I begged her to make a will or I’d help her write one out on paper and we would take it ti get notarized but she never would !! And when she was ready to go she just put herself in bed one Saturday and refused to eat or drink or to get up to go to the bathroom, si we brought in a bedside toilet and called her Dr. about admitting her to the hospital , but she wasn’t sick and the Dr. said she could refuse treatment so we couldn’t do anything, she last a week , she passed the next Saturday !! I’ve made sure my son knows my wishes and I’m a body donor to our university hospital for student doctors can learn in my body parts, I will then be cremated and my ashes given to my son ! So I hope I’ve gotten most things covered and my son will have my life insurance for himself and not ti have to use any of it to deal with my final wishes !! I’m sure you and Gigi have done a lot of y’all’s preparation’s also , with the exceptions of all y’all belongings , which I have to do also !! Hi Paw Paw, I'm so glad you sat Baby down and gave her the stranger danger talk but I don't think she was listening.🤗 Years ago an old neighbour of mine had a beautiful set of cast iron pans but I noticed there was always an extra lid. I asked her why and she said she kept the pan that went with it by her bed so if ever anyone broke in at night she would use it to hit them with. 😄Take care Susie UK 🌻🐝🤗
Doesnt it ferl good to get all the projects done? 🙂 My hubby was a Prepper, God Blesd him, & me too but after he passed, l never realized how MANY boxes & boxes & plastic cartons of Survival Food we actually had until l started cleaning out the closets. No WAY in this world will I ever need all this food! 🌾🫘🫛🥫🥫🥫🥫🥫🥫🥫So it was a project but l shipped several boxes to out of state relatives ( expensive but worth it) & donated some & finally had to throw alot away. ( Lots of pasta, beans, rice, oatmeal) but l now have TONS of closet space that l didnt have so l feel good about that. Now onto the next project! 📣📯🎺

Wow PawPaw I didn't get it until Tuesday. I love watching your videos, I learn so much. My grandpa used to take a grinding wheel to the pits in Grandma's cast iron pots, I think it worked well. I never remember her not using them until her arthritis got bad.

🤠When I was moving in with my husband 28 years ago, I was so exhausted, the last things to pack were my collection of about a couple dozen Cast iron pans, but my body was so worn out, I left them behind in my rental house. I am so angry with myself for letting them go. Been kicking my own rear end ever since. 😓(turns out, not regular exhaustion, but at the time, I had a flare up from undiagnosed Rheumatoid Arthritis-it's an autoimmune disease). Dang nab it!
You really got so much cleanup done since the flood. I remember how bad you and GiGi had it...but you are both such strong people!! You've taken it little by little and chipped away it all. You should be proud of yourselves!! 👏🏻👏🏻

To us it was the most beautiful tree ever. And kids today don’t play outside as much like we did. But then again we can’t operate in their technology world as well as they do. Good Tuesday morning Paw Paw and fur babies. The pots and pans turned out beautifully. Looks brand new. $135 for the big pot is a steal wow! Great idea to distribute part of your collection to family and memories behind some make it special. When my mom passed she had tin plates that reminded me of cowboys traveling and using them. I remember eating out of the tin plates 60yrs ago when my grandma had them and then to mom. My bro wanted them and I asked him do u remember eating out of them? Nope. Siblings voted and I got them. The fathers day gift from Lester and Jami of the memory book that would contain the past stories and so on was amazing. For 28:28 family to read and pass info on to generations to come. After my husband past my niece in law stayed with me and we went to Walmart to copy pics given by his aunt and I put info on the back and duplicated them to make albums. I don't think many pic he'd seen cuz he was a month old when his dad passed. Always important to carry on family stories. Have a blessed day 😎❤❤

I just wanted you to know that my Hunny Bunny perks up and comes close when she hears your voice. I am usually on my back porch where her Penthouse is when I watch your videos. I clean up after her first thing and then I give her some cabbage and refill her feed bowl and put fresh hay in the corner for her. She's great company for me and she loves your voice ❤so I give her a special treat for you ❤

Hi Paw Paw, I'm so glad you sat Baby down and gave her the stranger danger talk but I don't think she was listening.🤗 Years ago an old neighbour of mine had a beautiful set of cast iron pans but I noticed there was always an extra lid. I asked her why and she said she kept the pan that went with it by her bed so if ever anyone broke in at night she would use it to hit them with. 😄Take care Susie UK 🌻🐝🤗

Doesnt it ferl good to get all the projects done? 🙂 My hubby was a Prepper, God Blesd him, & me too but after he passed, l never realized how MANY boxes & boxes & plastic cartons of Survival Food we actually had until l started cleaning out the closets. No WAY in this world will I ever need all this food! 🌾🫘🫛🥫🥫🥫🥫🥫🥫🥫So it was a project but l shipped several boxes to out of state relatives ( expensive but worth it) & donated some & finally had to throw alot away. ( Lots of pasta, beans, rice, oatmeal) but l now have TONS of closet space that l didnt have so l feel good about that. Now onto the next project! 📣📯🎺

Had a awful storm sieron went off so I hobbled to the basement knees still bad see a large tree branch fell in my front yard its calmed down now made it back upstairs, some places had very very high winds in town around me ,and are with out power, glad morning is here.

Wow PawPaw I didn't get it until Tuesday. I love watching your videos, I learn so much. My grandpa used to take a grinding wheel to the pits in Grandma's cast iron pots, I think it worked well. I never remember her not using them until her arthritis got bad.

🤠When I was moving in with my husband 28 years ago, I was so exhausted, the last things to pack were my collection of about a couple dozen Cast iron pans, but my body was so worn out, I left them behind in my rental house. I am so angry with myself for letting them go. Been kicking my own rear end ever since. 😓(turns out, not regular exhaustion, but at the time, I had a flare up from undiagnosed Rheumatoid Arthritis-it's an autoimmune disease). Dang nab it!

Good Tuesday morning Paw Paw and fur babies. The pots and pans turned out beautifully. Looks brand new. $135 for the big pot is a steal wow! Great idea to distribute part of your collection to family and memories behind some make it special. When my mom passed she had tin plates that reminded me of cowboys traveling and using them. I remember eating out of the tin plates 60yrs ago when my grandma had them and then to mom. My bro wanted them and I asked him do u remember eating out of them? Nope. Siblings voted and I got them. The fathers day gift from Lester and Jami of the memory book that would contain the past stories and so on was amazing. For 28:28 family to read and pass info on to generations to come. After my husband past my niece in law stayed with me and we went to Walmart to copy pics given by his aunt and I put info on the back and duplicated them to make albums. I don't think many pic he'd seen cuz he was a month old when his dad passed. Always important to carry on family stories. Have a blessed day 😎❤❤

I just wanted you to know that my Hunny Bunny perks up and comes close when she hears your voice. I am usually on my back porch where her Penthouse is when I watch your videos. I clean up after her first thing and then I give her some cabbage and refill her feed bowl and put fresh hay in the corner for her. She's great company for me and she loves your voice ❤so I give her a special treat for you ❤
