Absolutely fantastic effort. I was actually going to make something similar to thing alittle while ago before I found this. I appreciated just how much work this took to rescore with fresh sound effects. Brilliant work on hitting all the action beats. Nice work with volume automation & placement of where music is and isn't. Its incredible just how much music can change a film we all know so well.
Well done. Thank you for this. I always wonder how much better Goldeneye would have been with a John Barry type score. I see many liked Serra's score and that's ok. I didn't like it much. I think Goldeneye was Brosnan best Bond film but the score was it's biggest weakness. I'm not negative on Serra, it's just doesn't fit into the Bond film franchise. I appreciate trying new things, but I don't think it worked. Now I know that I would have liked it more if Arnold had score it.
Thank you, and I agree (although John Altman actually scored the film version of the tank chase after Serra's version was rejected). I merely put this together as a little experiment; I love Serra's score.
@@niels25chr1 Serra's score was far too understated. Big theme moments like this were overlooked by Serra and underwhelming, barely noticable incidental music was used.
Have to agree. Whilst Arnold is my favourite Bond composer, Serra’s score fits the vibe of GoldenEye almost perfectly. Although it was probably a good move to get Altman to rescore the tank chase; “Pleasant drive” is perhaps a bit too much for this scene.
About damn time the comment section is now visible again, because I was about to say this before UA-cam was acting moronic. Anyway, how did you re-foleyed the sound effects while you rescored the scene with David Arnold's existing soundtrack?
The music was heavily inspired if not lifted from the excellent film score. Aside from the cheesy bond theme melody the pads and the synth gong song are repeated all through the movie.
Always didn't liked Sera's soundtrack (well, maybe pre-credits tracks are okay, but after? meh) (Altman's addition was probably the only track in GE i actually liked, but not surprisingly he was only on Tank scene, and he was there at all as Campbell didn't liked Sera's result as i heard, knowing his other tracks, not surprised why), and always adored Arnold's score till his last (imo he is THE best Bond composer after Barry) However its obvious that tracks presented here are not prime example of how film could sound under Arnold, why? 1 - Soundtrack used here are for a game, and most if not all of them were done for gameplay, which can be chaotic and random, so tracks were done in pretty neutral way with low chance to do something very unique 2 - it was done for GE: Reloaded, which transfered it to Crag era, meaning it to sound more modern, Arnold did little clear difference between his sound in Brosnan era and in Craig era, Brosnan had more electro on it, quite cool and fun thing. If you want to imagine how GE could sound under Arnold...well....just listen to his Brosnan era films, starting with Tomorrow Never Dies. As we have no other chances. As for author of video, huge respect, nice editing of sounds and quite good adding of tracks, making them sound more adapted.
Thanks for commenting. Naturally, video game music is not the same as scoring a film but I did my best to adapt and edit game tracks to fit the film clip. It was very tedious. Incidentally, John Altman was the orchestrator of the score and not someone who was randomly brought in for one cue. Thank you for listening.
ERIC SERRA WAS BETTER. His score was unique and it's one of the things I truly loved about this Bind film. Wish he did Tomorrow Never Dies and The World is Not Enough.
The only issue with using music from the game is that the music is looped and non-interactive, so it would be difficult to make it 'hit' certain parts of the scenes.
Absolutely. This is far superior to the horrible abomination Serra did. They needed to hire David Arnold to do a full rescore for the 30th anniversary.
One of my favourite James Bond moovies..
Goldeneye - My favourite 007 film 😊

I made another GoldenEye video with John Barry music that you may also want to check out, if you have not already. Thanks for watching!
I'm happy with the Eric Serra score. This lacks the tension of the original.
Yes i felt it too flat.
Great effort on your part but the original is so much better. Eric Serra's fits perfectly.
Thank you, and I agree (although John Altman actually scored the film version of the tank chase after Serra's version was rejected). I merely put this together as a little experiment; I love Serra's score.
Very good
I love this.
Superior effort to the Serra score. Well done! Would love to see the whole movie done like this!
no way. Nothing beats Serra
@@niels25chr1 Serra's score was far too understated. Big theme moments like this were overlooked by Serra and underwhelming, barely noticable incidental music was used.
This just shows, Eric Serras score was perfect for the film, David Arnold would not have fit the post Cold War vibe of Goldeneye.
I agree. Serra's score is one of my top-5 Bond scores.
The irony is that, from 3.57 onwards, it wasn't Serra's music, anyway 😀
😊.

Amazing film!

The great Mr. Bond..007...James Bond...

It took a lot of work and remixing, basically. Too much detail to go into here, but I am glad that you enjoyed it!
It's good but I prefer the original soundtrack for this movie. The music fit Goldeneye Reloaded really well though I think.
Agreed; I think the music is the best part of GoldenEye 007: Reloaded.
Seriously? The original Goldeneye tracks were pretty atrocious.
WonPorky yeah I like it I just think it fits the movie well. It sounds very different to most other bond films and I see how people dislike it though.
@@onex7805 You have a bad taste in music then.
Eric Serra's score had a tendency to work against the film.
At 6:40 I thought it was just about to kick into "On Her Majesty's Secret Service Theme"
The music was heavily inspired if not lifted from the excellent film score. Aside from the cheesy bond theme melody the pads and the synth gong song are repeated all through the movie.
I'll keep the Serra score. Cool experiment though.
my best choose 007 Jams Bond movie 1966 to on ward. now i m in 77+ and till watch Hollywood picture.
I prefer both Eric Serra and John Altman over this one
Me too.
Same. Especially the opening gun barrel theme.
Any score is better than the abysmal abomination by Serra.
Ottman

Serra is an original. This music reminds me of too many other movies.

So unique it was instantly trashed on release.
It's clear they were never going to hire Serra again after his disaster.
There was a little stab of "from Russia with love" in there
Perfect👍💕🌹
Supeerrrrr!
My best hero ❤❤❤❤
Nice
Now the chase looks more American.
You should do the whole movie like this, excellent, scene comes alive.
After john Barry, david Arnold
Original score 100% better 👍
Beleza muito bom 😂😂😮😮
Super
Can someone rescore with the music from Goldeneye 64?
The only issue with using music from the game is that the music is looped and non-interactive, so it would be difficult to make it 'hit' certain parts of the scenes.
J,aime cette collection se surper
Way better than eric. Love david arnold
Eric Serra, scoring a Bond movie, a Disaster, first Bond movie in SIX years, first Bond movie to star Pierce Brosnan, and they hire Eric Serra...Jesus
Absolutely. This is far superior to the horrible abomination Serra did.
They needed to hire David Arnold to do a full rescore for the 30th anniversary.
It’s a great score
David Arnold 007 sound not good!!!!
