Welcome back to Kels and John and to what is essentially our very first "living in Florida" weekly vlog since our Moving to Florida series!
In this video, we share with you some more apartment DIY and updates - you can see our apartment is almost, almost done and we promise our Orlando apartment tour is coming soon! Aside from DIY and home decor, we share our week hanging with our friends @LIFEbyFrancesco in Disney Springs (wouldn't be a trip to Disney Springs without a little shopping too!) and visiting downtown Winter Garden with our friend Nikk! This is such a beautiful part of the central Florida area and it made us so excited to explore our new home state! We already can't wait to return to Winter Garden.

Found your channel not long ago and I love it so much. I’m from the UK but my husband and I absolutely love Florida. We hope to return for our 10 year anniversary all being well (and settled down a bit Covid wise!). Would love to hear more about where in the UK you’re from Kels and how you came to be in USA? Also how you find living there? Be great to know more about where you grew up too John! Would also love to know what you both do for work? Looking forward to watching more!! 🥰

We'll def go in to more detail in a future video but just as a quick synopsis: I'm from Essex, John is from California. I came to US with work both times that I've moved over here (we've moved around a lot lol). Thank you again for watching and look forward to sharing more with you!

Winter garden has an amazing farmers market on Saturday, loved going when we were living closer to that area and not working like crazy. Urban flats is always delicious and one of the restaurants we take our family to when they are visiting from out of town.
We're so excited to check out the farmer's market one day very soon. Sounds awesome!

So fun to see our town in your video! Ever since walking in downtown Winter Garden under the lighted trees 6 years ago I knew this is where I wanted to live. You guys absolutely have to come back on a Saturday! The farmer's market is incredible with so much variety in the vendors and the best salsa I've ever found (& we moved here from California!). The roof top bar at Whole Enchilada is a fun little oasis as well! Oakland Nature Preserve is our latest favorite - lovely spot for a picnic or day hike. Enjoy central Florida!

Hey guys! I LUV u guys energy & spirits! WELCOME to FL!! Yessszzz to those places that you ate. My daughter & I visited many many places our 1st year. She was Blessed to work at both Universal & Disney 🤗🤗...needless to say my holidays have been spent at the parks and we LUV it!(up until this year😥) FL living is Great!! A nice slow down & enjoying of life from where we moved from -NJ/NY/PA. Farmers market at Celebration on Sundays is also good(not sure if open yet?) Lake Nona and Lake Eola are both great park areas with nice restaurants, paddle boats, etc. Even with the rain, the weather here is superb & being able to sit outside to eat or have drinks or be on my deck/patio year round is excellent! What else could one ask? LIFE is for Enjoying, Living AND Loving yet sooooo many people miss that because of NOT enjoying the small stuff. Ive heard people say that they cannot live in FL yet here we both R, from cities, enjoying LIFE in FL! Keep Enjoying FL life & don't let anyone deter you from living your BEST life ever! STAY BLESSED N ENJOY 😉 🌈🌺💛

Unwanted Internet "Aunt" advice - consider putting UV protected glass over the pictures hit by the sun, so they don't fade over time. Michaels during a sale can help you out there. Adulting? Routine? What do these words mean? LOVE Ikea containers. It's still so weird to see the GIGANTIC kitchen. Three weeks is no time, Kels. The dresser isn't going anywhere, you take as much time as you need. Get yourselves a square air fryer! I recommend the Cosori 5.8QT version on Amazon. The shape allows for more useable space than round baskets!

Hi! I live in Winter Garden and recommend Daniel’s Cheesesteak and Harrell’s hot dogs in downtown. When you get the time, take a trip to Mt. Dora! It’s about 40 mins away from WG and completely worth the drive. Quaint downtown area with great places to eat! 😊

Go to Michaels and pick up a framed cork board/bulletin board. That will make a great decorative display for your enamel pins that you can hang on the wall.

Thank you so much! The kitchen is one of our favorite parts - it's all so functionally designed, we've really lucked out with the place! Definitely still feeling the difference and appreciating the difference. I think we will for a long time! :)

We'll need to pick up some ourselves in the not too distant future so I can start concocting some of those tiki drinks! In the meantime I'd recommend makemeacocktail.com which can make use of whatever you have at home! :)
Go down to Ikea over by Millenia. Hey its a good way to get stuff for the house for cheaper. I say for photo Frames try Micheals or JoAnn. those usually are good places for crafts or little things. Costco usually has good deals on Kitchen Electronics like the air fryer but i'm a bit of a old fashioned cook and actually like the whole oil thing but to each their own. Please check out the Disney Character warehouse on either I-drive or the outlet mall by disney itself. If you can't find the thing you want at disney property. its a good chance it's already at the character warehouse. Just know there are a ton of Princess dresses still on the rack and a lot of star wars stuff. There are also mistake shirts there which are just misprints or something. Sometimes you find stuff from Shanghai or Tokyo you never quite know. Use those Plastic bags as small trash bags for the bathroom or keep stuff in. hey it saves money.

Apartment looks amazing can’t wait to be back in Orlando, hopefully soon. Have you guys changed your camera or camera settings? I noticed this vlog was super out of focus and blurred far more than usual.
Thanks Steven! No we haven't but we've noticed the focus too. Think we might need to take a look at our camera, it might be getting a bit old :(
Love the floorplan of your apartment! I am currently in Winter Garden and was considering getting a new place in the next few months. I moved to Orlando from Michigan about 13 years ago best decision I ever made! Currently living with my ex. (were friends now) but I will need to find my own place soon as its time lol. I am curious where you ended up renting as I really love the layout and features of your apartment.
So glad to hear you've loved living down here the last few years! Unfortunately due to privacy reasons we can't disclose the name of our specific complex but there are a ton of complexes in the central Florida region we considered that have similar layouts and features so shouldn't be too tricky to find what you're looking for.
