systematic demonstration of sailage making Filling in drum and sealing is very well made It's a 7 years old video but very well holds good today. Thank you.🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
I would love to see the finished product. For those asking, the black liquid is molasses. It is basically a sugar syrup. The purpose is to give the bacteria some sugar to allow for fermentation. Without the sugar, the moisture would result in mold and rot.
New sub thanks I have interest in getting some goats when I move there this fall. It's different animal husbandry practices compared to US. I have raised both dairy and meat goats for over 20 years here in US. Thanks
Here in Florida, Alfalfa don't grow, we use peanut hay, come milking time a handful of peanuts while milked tames them while replacing the calcium and fatty acids.
You forgot to mention that silage feeding is part of zero-grazing, which ensures that the goats do not go eating grass in the field and contracting worm infestations. So they end up being dewormed less, saving the farmer money.
sir hindi ba mas matibay s sakit pg nakakagala ang mga kambing? kung parehas lang eh ang tibay eh mas mganda p n silage n lang lahat pra mas madaling imanage ang mga tanim na pakain
After how many days will it be ready? For how long can it be stored? Do we just leave it in the barrel till we take out for feeding the animals? Thank you so much for helping to prepare and hope to get these questions answered.
Ready after approx. 21 days -- if sealed properly - can store for some two to three years. Leave in barrel till needed - reseal barrel if silage left over. If you have taken silage out of barrel - Do not put unused silage back into barrel.
@@doitsavemoney Friend basically ruminants are fed by silage. Silage is ready feeds in time of summer and rainy season. Ruminant are saved from contact with grass infected by bacteria or worms. it prevent capital loss.
@@doitsavemoneyadvantages are storing food while the crop is excess, and fermentation will breakdown the nutrition, easy to digest. Disadvantages are hectic process and if any error like not air proofing or stuff is wet while packing it will be contaminated.

Hoping for your advice. Thanks.
But,you did not mentioned about when will it be ready to use. This is incomplete video. Please give atleast the detail information on which you made youtube video.
In the description of this video. 21 days is the complete fermentation... You can feed the silage to your ruminants at least 21 days from the date you make it.
So after watching a couple of these, you said you haven't had one spoil in a long time, which is impressive, do you have any issues with rats and bugs? Do you have cats or anything to keep the small stuff away or is the container strong enough to keep them out? Thanks for the video.
If the container is good enough to keep air out, it sure can keep other things out. Look how tough those barrels are. Of course, no bugs or rats can get through.
How many days you will kept the grass in the barell and ready for feeding sir? And how many days/months we can store that feeding? Thanks for your very good video
Don't the sweetener (molasses) need to be evenly applied to the matter to get an even process? Perhaps mix it then pack into barrels. Only that guy will get sticky feet.
sir good day... asa n dapit sa cebu inyong farm?? actually im in the planning stage of constructing my backyard goat farm.. can you help me to have a good breeder??
Hello sirsalamat sa video, morag ganahan ko magbuhat anang silage. asa man ta kapalit anang inyong drum nga itom? planning to use corn kay complete with carbo and protein.
Actually corn has less crude protein which is essential for ruminant and other animals. It is only 9%. However the metabolizable energy is 90 which is essential for their daily energy. Corn alone is not complete. So it is advisable to give other forages and legumes. Like kakawate, ipil ipil leaves, malungay leaves and mongo shrubs.
