It won't. The color of the plastic wasn't the problem with Gold Plastic Syndrome; it was the metallic material, and they don't use that kind of plastic anymore.

I do think that ROTB Cheetor's robot mode greatly evokes his Beast Machines design mostly because some of the design traits between them are similar and like in BM Cheetor's more matured and experienced in ROTB which given the role the Maximals have on being on Earth long before the Autobots and Decepticons I wouldn't be surprised if that's an intentional homage to that.
Maybe hasbro planning another toyline trilogy miniseries also reviving transtech.

I had the exact same train of thought yesterday when I purchased him and was on my way home, this is what he should have been in Beast Machines, maybe the design was going to be a Legacy release and then ROTB was announced.
It's closer to the Transmetal 2 design.
Would have appreciated it even more if it had a little bit dark metal blue. This rotb is inspired from its transmetal 2 and beast Machines design. The figure is really good.
Some blue would’ve been very nice!
@@PrimeVsPrime i did a redesign of this movie version by combining season 1 and transmetal 2 forms. Here, his tail is attached to his body and acts like a weapon similar to transmetal 2.

That’s not a good thing. A transformer should have recognisable parts of the alt mode in bot mode. That’s what makes their designs appealing. This is just a generic robot

@@nicholasstensson9699 it could be generic robot if he was another shellformer like some bayformers figures/toys, but this one actually transform, and he looks cool, He's like Beast Machines toyline's maximals but actually done better than some characters.
@@nicholasstensson9699 a cheetah doesn’t have many recognizable parts that can be part of the robot mode. Cheetor has everything he could possibly display being a cheetah

As a brand new design I’m too sold in this Cheetor, love how the robotic mixed with flesh work together perfectly. The spear weapon is a great choice too, much better than just giving him a whip or blaster. Will definitely get him as well as the other upcoming Maximals.

This figure is my fave Cheetor. I do like all the designs, but just love how this one turned out. Super fun figure and feels great in hand.
Huh, so that size comparison with Battletrap essentially confirms both will be around 18 feet tall. Nice. Also Cheetor will indeed have wolverine claws in the film. You can spot them if you slow down the trailer (highest quality possible or they’re just blurs).

I've sadly had to skip a whole lot of awesome Transformers releases (both official and 3rd party) because I simply don't have the extra money nor space to continue purchasing these action figures. However, this Cheetor figure looks so freaking cool for a mainline voyager figure, I may have to make an exception for this one. If SS Optimus Primal is as good as Cheetor, I may get that one as well.

I’m loving the design for this version of Cheetor. Overall, this line of Studio Series, and a lot of the Mainline toys are phenomenal. Can’t wait for the film’s release. Keep up the good work, man.

I like it! I do wish the articulation in cheetah mode (specifically the front) was better
If you untab the shoulders from the neck it gives a decent amount more posability and it still looks good.

This is a rare video for me. I live in SC and I got this figure BEFORE his review. Usually his review comes out a month or two before my preorder goes through.
Cheetor’s design is based on his Transmetals counterpart with the color scheme of his Transmetals 2 version
For the arm I would recommend that you could use a small pin on the arm at mid transformation and lightly tap it with a hammer and the pin should come off without damaging the figure and to tighten it either use masking tape on the inside and use it to add more friction

They should have reversed the colors on the Hands and the Claws. This would have matched Silver Front Claws to Silver Back Claws and it would have blended the Hands into Beast Mode better.

At first I wasn't sure about this figure but now that I got him I absolutely LOVE HIM
I remember the getting transmetal cheetor, and his only accessory was the detachble tail. Probly only used it in the show ONCE. Still my fav transformer tho

First thing I notice is how much brighter your copy is compared to the stock images, yours is a lot more golden bronze whilst the stock images were more redish brown, not sure if my memory is faulty, but it is interesting...

Cool review. I would love to see this figure scaled up and retooled so the animal head flips out onto the chest to give us a Tigatron and Shadowpanther (ideally with a gut gun).
I was really reticent about this one when I first saw it... but this turned out to be a really cool figure.
Definitely think one of the crossovers could be a black Panther one to honor Chadwick considering this design is such a perfect black Panther transformer with some minor tweaks

No hollow parts, decent transformation, and minimal color missing but engineering wise, it is much better compared to the last figures we got from this toy line 😊❤️

Hasbro is KILLING IT with these ROTB studio series figures. I've loved the designs of all these characters and CHEETOR is definitely one of my favourites so far. MAYBE the core class Arcee won't be so bad?
The color is fine. My biggest issue is the visible fists in beast mode. At voyager scale, there's no excuse for that. They easily could have made panels to hide them.

Mine also has loose elbows. Haven't gotten around to tightening them yet, but I imagine kikis or dr dstars will do the trick.
I didn't care too much about these until I saw the movie, but after I just had to start tracking these down. The beasts are too cool.
I don't think I'll be getting SS102 Prime since I already have SS38 but The Terrorcons are definitely on my list and probably the RoTB Autobots too.
I haven't been this excited over a Transformers movie since 2007. RoTB is so good!
If his tail comes out, I'm sure larkain could make a T2 esq Cheetor tail so we have a standin for that figure. This figure is soooo good!
i might keep this guy in robot mode, but with the back legs in beast mode - the digitigrade look during the reverse transformation process looked super neat

kiki for loose joints, on eBay! The colorway on this Cheetor is accurate to a real cheetah, they're not sunbeam yellow. The new one is too "muscular" in beast mode, cheetah's are sleek and almost aerodynamic. They made him too bulky.
Yeah I agree, he needs to be a much less saturated sand color. Nice figure though! I actually like this Cheetor the most. Maybe Takara will Premium Finish him?

Woudl be pretty cool if a third party company made an upgrade kit to fill in the gap under the neck in beast mode to allow his arms to stay out to the side for better articulation in beast mode

This is actually better than i thought
All they had to do is make the cheetah head split down the middle while staying together but once clipped into the chest section in robot mode the head will make the chest but slightly split towards the right or left arm to reveal a maximum symbol on the inside middle of the cheetah head.

I think I can imagine what you’re saying. That maybe would’ve looked cool but I hate it when the animal head splits into 2. Usually it always leaves a nasty line/gap when combined

Just got this figure and I think it's great, Yeah it isn't really accurate to the original design but personally I quite like it (probably because it gives me Transmetal vibes). Hope there's a Tigatron repaint.

I really like that the robot mode looks more athletic than muscular because of the Cheetah alt mode
