  • Spring cleaning motivation! Clean with me as I deep clean an apartment kitchen. I love steam cleaning because it's nontoxic, doesn't use any chemicals, just water. I used the Dupray Neat Steam Cleaner, microfiber cloths and vacuumed the window frame with my Dyson cordless handheld.

    I tackle a dirty window full of cobwebs that's so dirty! Plus steam clean the blinds (with the brush attachment). They're more dirty than they look! Part way through I realize it's better to use a cloth on the steamer so you don't have to do the extra step and wipe them down. I also clean a stained kitchen counter.
    The kitchen chairs are filthy but the steam cleaner got them so clean! It's easier to get in those tight spaces with the lance tool. I used the triangle tool on the larger areas. The cabinets had grease on them and again I used the triangle tool to clean them.
    It's tough to see but the counter had permanent marker and different stains that I got off almost completely with a magic eraser and microfiber cloth. Steam cleaners are great on kitchen counters to clean and disinfect, but not on the stains.
    Deep clean the kitchen with me!

    Grab a pair of kitchen tongs and wrap microfiber towel around the grabbing tong. It will help to clean blinds. Use a kitchen butter knife wrapped with microfiber cloth with rubber band to the nooks and crannies of house

      Yes, big fan of the butter knife wrapped in microfiber hack! I like using steam for blinds though. It's faster for me. Thanks for sharing these tips!

    Sheesh! Those blinds are way too long for that little window. Ha!

      Most mini blinds are sold at generic lengths. Some people don't know they can remove those unneeded blinds pieces and they just live with it! I'm not criticizing her video. She's cleaning; it's not her property.

    Do you ever use bleach for tough stains like the yellow on on counter top. I would take a cloth soaked in bleach an lay it on top of the stain an hour some boiling water on it an let it sit for half hour or however long it takes. That steam cleaner is awesome. I recently bought a small Bissell one which is great but yours is the boss of all steamers, the long hose is definitely way more convenient.

    The window, blinds - would be helpful to see the action close-up. I want to see how the dirt is dislodged, not just someone cleaning at a distance.

      Sure! Never thought about doing that but good idea. I certainly have some pros and cons.

    Did I see you use the steam cleaner above an electric outlet?

    don't you need to vacuum first?

      If there's loose dirt, yes, but you don't have to. It just makes it easier so you don't have to wipe up as much.

    Does the Tosca floor tool fit the neat?

    • @CleanFreakGermaphobe
      @CleanFreakGermaphobe  2 роки тому

      No. The Tosca mop is bigger and has clamps to hold a towel. The Neat one is smaller and to me is the most cheaply built attachment of any I've used from Dupray.

    I loved the look on her face when she saw the filth on the cloth 🎉

    Do you use Krud Kutter on those stained counters?

    Why do you end up using the neat more often than the tosca ?

    • @CleanFreakGermaphobe
      @CleanFreakGermaphobe  Рік тому +1

      It’s lighter and easier to carry. The Tosca is metal and when it’s full is a lot to carry. But it’ll last decades…
