A couple problems with this setup:
- the Smallrig cages block the access to the Canon filter-adapter, which would be the most obvious adapter to use, when you use EF lenses on your R5 C. Kondor Blue sorted that with the Cine Cage for the Canon R5 C.
- the Smallrig V-mount battery is all fine and dandy, but there are compact V-mount plates out there, like the Nitze Nano plate, where you can get your USB-C from the V-mount plate and then you don't have to remove cables to swap batteries.
- the Smallrig MagicFIZ system has quite a few shortcuts in it's design, where you'd think, they would have thought that one a bit more through. I'm looking forward to the refreshed Nucleus Nano from Tilta.
- the top handle obstructs the multifunction hotshoe. Now you can't use the Tascam audio module or anything else. The side handle is more than sufficient to carry the camera, if needed.
- the Portkeys LEYE ?? Literally, why ? Have a look at the Z-Cam EVF. It beats it in quality and spec on every metric.
I actually did put a build together just a little while ago, where I thought about all of the above.

Hi Fernando, I'm running an R5 and a R5c both of which I haven't managed to bluetooth sync up to the FIZ unit. Did you have any problems here and if so, how did you get them to sync up. Thank you..

I followed your list and discovered that the handle on your rig is not the same one on the list, and the 48 mm mini quick release is not compatible with the half cage black mamba. You may want to revise those two things.

Yes! I believe the R6, R7, R5 and R5C all have Power Delivery so should take an external battery unit.
