Their failure in securing the back door to the machine law enforcers did not mean a failure outright. Just when they thought the attack had finally been stopped, the tower had a second breach, one that went unstopped... and it caused a citywide blackout for 36 hours. Core systems went down, and chaos flooded the streets of both the wealthy and the poor.
When the screens came back on, they spewed only the messages of the Endless, its leader revealed for the first time, preaching the beginning of a new dark age. Locating the source of the broadcasts led to nothing... until a stranger had entered the ruins of the tower, to meet with the man that saved his sister.
He knows where the signal is coming from, and how to return power to the city, to put a stop to the chaos... but he cannot do it alone. It is time to gather a team, and make your way down the well. Turn the power back on. Take back control. The city CANNOT fall.
