Great video! Thanks for highlighting a great player that doesn't get much mention these days!
No problem! Glad you enjoyed it, Bud. It was a fun one to put together, for sure.
Tooooon!!!
Forgotten all about this guy.
Number #85 and #88 are the reasons why I became a NY Jets fan. I appreciate them (Walker and Toon).
Great video. Thanks for creating/posting. Toon was an amazing wide receiver, an underrated (or perhaps the better term is underrecognized) receiver for sure. Thankfully, he had another great first rounder throwing to him in Ken O'Brien. Both great talents whom would have given the NFL a set of hall of famers that NFL films would have made many documentaries about; but alas, poor drafting by the Jets, and subsequently horrible offensive lines, did not allow this to come to fruition. Both will absorb into the historical abyss as reasonable players instead of greats despite both proving themselves to be exceptional during periods of their careers (from O'Brien being the best in 1985, and Toon in 1985 and 1986), until the suppoting cast aged out without adequate replacements.
No problem! Appreciate ya stopping by and checking it out, glad ya enjoyed it.
That's crazy, I think youtube got a memory lol... I was searching for his highlights a month ago, and couldn't find anything... Crazy thing about this autonomous youtube machine is I'm a 49ers fan so you'd think it wouldn't show me this, because 90% of stuff is 49ers related
Haha! UA-cam is a crazy beast, I tell ya.. but I'm glad you were able to stumble across this video, even though it's been a bit.. and glad you finally got to see what you were looking for. Appreciate ya stopping by!

At the time, Toon was considered to be the equal or even better than Jerry Rice. The curse of the Jets. Please, if there's a god curse stays away from Garrett Wilson. While he was fearless going over the middle, that "bravery" is probably what cost him his career. He took so many brutal shots to the head. Nine DIAGNOSED concussions and who knows how many were undiagnosed.
Imagine if Toon had Montana or Marino as his QB.
