ive been looking at some of the regimental flute bands on youtube coldstream, grens, and i have to say the micks still have it. very high standard of playing took me back to my days in the battalion in the 70s/80s
The good old "micks" lovely traditional Irish airs played with great skill. I have to say of all the foot guards the Irish guards all ways seem to carry off the flute and drum work with passion and feeling. Sorry grenadier coldstreams scots Welsh guards .we still love you all but the "micks" seem a little ahead in this genre of band music.
@@rossflowers7038 after the first clapping the first tune is Dolly’s Brae, second is the Ladies orange lodge, next was “Irish jigs and songs of the plantation” and after that was “No Surrender/Crimson Banner/18th of December”.

Anyone tell me the name of the tune at the end as they were marching out. I can play it but just never came across the name as that many bands name it different

@@Weir436 I've only known as dolly's brae as well but when I joined the sarry fb 6 year ago we play a tune called lesnigade and then into dolly's brae but was only lesnigade that was always shouted out
