Best Early Game Tips Armor and Weapons for Grounded in 2023 - Ігри
I've seen several differences btw my game and this guide, maybe a patch changed stuff in the Middle, but for example
1- acorn chest needs berry chunks now, not as easy to come by without going into a dangerous area.
2- cereal bars and white fungus have been nerfed. They don't heal even half of what's in the video.
3- bleed damage of spiky bat is still as broken as in the video, but sometimes DOTS are innefective against creatures that hit like a train in the beggining. Sometimes you'll want to kill things faster than they can kill you.
4- aphid dew drops are a rare drop now, I've only seen one so far and I've pretty much explored the entire starter zone.
Spiky sprig is awesome use it all the way up till middle game idk what ur skill issue is but it takes some skill bc ur hitting targets then backing off and if ur good enough u won’t get hit by anything
Hedge lab is a easy lab area if u stay within ur limits and know ur way around I have literally completed lab on medium difficulty without armor even on
I wouldn’t use acorn armor stay away from it if ur new bc it attracts the Aggro from the bugs ur gonna get attacked more often
If your getting berry leather, akip straight to ladybug armor or spiser armor imo depending if you want offence or defence
Here is a way to find a very good weapon early on:
1. You need a bomb, a dandelion tuft, to be able to make stairs/ladders and a torch.
2. Go to the milk carton at the top right of the map near the pond, in the wall there should be a little hole (make sure not to build right infront of th hole because there are some bombardier beetles that spawn there so just go a bit to the right on the wall).
2. build to the top of the wall using stairs or a ladder.
3. Use your dandelion tuft to glide into the hole.
4. Explode the door.
5. equip you torch, walk down the hallway, and on the left in the trash can, there should be a tier 3 weapon called the pinch wacker.
It is a one-handed weapon in the generic class, Every third hit in the combo with the weapon deals an AOE zap effect with a high chance of stunning, it costs x1 repair glue to repair it, and it costs 4,500 raw science to duplicate it (the reason it is so expensive to duplicate is because there is only one the game).
Hope this helped you get your first tier 3 weapon.
just get the red ant armor and sneak into their anthill. don't forget a hammer.

I keep mentally tripping over your pronunciation of acorn armor.
I keep hearing "Egg-corn Armor" every time you say "Acorn"....
Not a big issue, but it kept derailing my train if thought.
Heh, a tip for newbies..... Acorn armor is protective, but you have increased enemy threat and aggro because they find your armor choice quite delicious.

Oh the sprig bow is a really good weapon to get the ladybug armor which basically makes you a juggernaut against most bugs
Throwing pebble spears inflicts the most damage early on. Make a bunch of them.
Throwing your weapon is a bad idea
@IzzIrfan-ld9hr I agree, except in the beginning. When you stumble out of that case and make 10 spears to throw, you are exponentially more dangerous. Once you get good armor and weapons and/or master blocking DO NOT TOSS YOUR GEAR.

This game is always fun at the start, sadly base building is when I generally start to have less fun... I wish base building was better, even with all the quality of life changes it is still a slog

Idk if you ever got the answer but basically if you’re hit in a fight, you walk or run slower. Although I didn’t verify and think he’s confusing nat explorer with aphid slippers, but yeah

Still looking for egg-corn armor
A tip for the start as well there is a leaf that is leaning against a cliff turn the underside of the leaf into an outpost because wolf spiders will patrol towards that area occasionally so while they are not active all that much make an outpost there and thank me later

Personally, I played this game for 10 mins. Realised all you do is run around picking up random crap, dealing with really bad menus and I gave up.
Watching this video also confirmed that this game is waaaay overrated. You spend ages running around looking for stuff, basically doing nothing.
