Yes, because we all really do like Weezer and this is among the best aongs I've heard from them since that orchestral album a few years ago
The SZNZ albums are great. I feel some of their best stuff. Tons of memorable and catchy bits, with lyrics that remind me more of the first two albums. Rivers has really hit his stride, conjuring up the most Weezery Weezer in years, and it's great.

This sounds like the Blue era even up to the harmonica. It's got the power and deep emotion. Even the harmonies with high voices- OK, I'll say it this is DEFINITELY as good as Blue, if not even better.

wow going on this sznz journey has been an honor. every 3 months i’d check back in with these guys and listen to a bunch of new music that i know will one day be nostalgic. i graduated high school this year and listened to weezer like the whole time. i love this band with all my heart and i’m so grateful for these lovely nerds for being such a big part of who i am. i will never stop partying

@@wynn8518 He's never really been a substance abuser. Say It Ain't So is about his fear of his step father's alcohol consumption. He's on record claiming to never really consumer alcohol "unless he has to." As far as I know (fan since 1994) Rivers Cuomo has largely avoided all drugs and alcohol for the vast majority of his life. Anyone can correct me if I'm off.

SZNZ is by far the most powerful and in their element I’ve ever heard Weezer. They’ve never felt as emotionally resonant as they do here, and both the vocals and instruments communicate the mood perfectly. It’s very quickly becoming my favorite Weezer album, and I phrase it like that because I do believe it’s ideal to experience these 4 short albums as one piece. This set has a lot of my new favorite Weezer songs, Autumn specifically has the highest concentration of absolute banger tracks. “Should She Stay Or Should She Go” is probably my favorite new song, the intro catches me off guard every time and it always gives me this sense of bittersweet peace. “I Want A Dog” is also worth mentioning at the most emotionally crippling song I’ve ever heard. The first time I heard it I started crying as a wave of nostalgia, comfort, regrets, and sadness smashed into me and sent my heart into a tailspin. These albums are amazing, and I regret my misgivings about SZNZ just judging it on Spring. Spring is easily the weakest of the albums, but every group has a Ringo (I’m sorry Ringo, I’m not trying to come at you mate) and Spring is unfortunately it. Ultimately it was smart to start with it, as everything after was both uphill from it and continued the concept flawless.
The biggest compliment I can give is that these albums sound like Billy Cobb, and if you know Billy Cobb you know that’s high praise. I’ve frankly never been this pleased to be a Weezer fan.
I can’t agree on the fact the Spring is the weakest, summer takes the crown for me as the worst. Most are good though, nothing too cringeworthy

Weezer is the only band i know, that can put out a song from their strong years, without even trying too hard. Sometimes im not sure what to think of their experiments, but then this comes around and it could be straight out of Blue/Pinkerton. Good work and still a fan after all these years :)
